    Don't Forget Nintendo

The SNES had it's share of Demos and such, like Starfox 2 For instance.

However there are some of the more lesser known ones:

Radical Rex Development Prototype: Not sure if this was released for usage in displays, or just for the developers to demo the game on a SNES

    title.PNG

    gameplay.PNG

Arcus Spirits (JPN): Not really sure if this was released or not, but i'll throw it in here anyways:
    arcus.PNG

There are others, like Fire emblem 64, Blues Brothers 2000 ChronoTrigger PSX Demo / Pre Release Cart (Actually a SNES rom! Squaresoft tried to take the PS1 Graphics and emulate them on a SNES) to name a few (i have no images of these. sorry)

The Baby T-Rex betas were released in the 90's. There are two of them. The crazy thing is that the betas had much better and more sampled singing than the retail game from what I remember. Arcus was also released in the 90's. Next time I go back to the UK I'll dig up my floppy disc collection. Over 1000 discs with EVERY SFC/SNES game made up to 1998 including betas that some people may have never seen due to no ROM sites having them. I was a real ROM Kiddy back in the 90's. In with all the wrong people. The crazy thing is though, I still bought hundreds of games even back then :) I just love having the originals.

    lol
I believe they shot while the video was showing an animation of the name (Phantasy Star IV).

    EDIT:
Since we are talking Sega, was a bizzare sort-of racing game by Codemasters called Demon Dinosaurs ever released for Mega Drive?

Some "news" on Rachet and Bolt

    - 32X
    - 24 Mbit
    - 2600 kind of attacks
    - 33 weapons
    - Splitscreen
    - big bosses and nice graphics.

    It's easy to recognize.
Think outrun just in a prehistoric context, the cars are replaced by dinosaurs while riders are cavemen (bat included!).
There is an horizontal split-mode too.

Do you when did this game made its first appearance?
Maybe the guys at Codemasters saw B.C.Racers (formerly known as Chuck rally) and canned their game due to the similarity between these 2 games.

Errr.... I think they were talking about the number of frames of the main characters.

    More information here

PrOFUnD Darkness> as said earlier, I don't think this screenshot is taken from the actual game or any other beta version but from a footage like this one:

Some screenshots of the earlier versions of Street Fighter X Tekken (taken from one of the artbooks)

    ITARY

PrOFUnD Darkness> Actually, none of these games was shown in its Mega-CD version during this CES.
    Ultima underworld = DOS version.
    Chakan = Mega Drive version.
MC hammer = videoclip "Too legit to quit". It became Hammer vs Evil D in Soulfire before being canned. It looked like this:

Celine > The concept of "multi planes of playing field" was used in Gangan/Agressor of Dark Kombat, ADK probably didn't want to try too many things on its main series. This canceled link function reminds me this Mahjong keyboard:

    (CD Consoles 5 march - 1995)

I don't remember having seen this one before: an early Super Nintendo Pal version.

    Another selection of early screenshots:

    (CD Consoles 11 - november 1995)
I was wondering where did this picture come from for years, but now I guess it's a very early WIP of Art of Fighting Gaiden, showing Ryo with a brand new haircut.

    Virtua Fighter 2 - arcade version (CD Consoles 3 - January 1995)
    Shun former version

Gun Griffon, then called 3D Polygon Shooting (CD Consoles 9 - july 1995)

Tales of Phantasia (Tale Phantasia was its real name when its development started) (CD Consoles 3 - January 1995)
The HUD is slightly different from the final version.

Light Crusader, formerly known as Relayer (CD consoles 1 - november 1994) 1
    [IMG]
Same as for Tales of Phantasia.

Super Burnout, simply called Burn Out before the game hit the shelves (Player One 50 - february 95)

Some lovely finds there, Youloute. Shun on that early VF2 looks kind of creepy.

Based on that font in the corner (and it's aspect ratio), that looks like it may be running in 640x200 mode on an Amiga 500 or 2000? At least it looks created on one, as that's classic 1.x Topaz 8 down there. Possibly (like was hinted at with Sonic), Sega were going to make an Amiga version of PSIV?
