Power Battle and Power Fighters where only released for arcade back then and appeared 2004 on the gamecube/ps2 megaman collections, but maybe there are some old protos for these for older platforms (most likely psx)

Yeah i actually played Power Fighters in the arcade years ago and i have the collection for ps2, im talking more about unreleased or proto games than rare ones ( thanks for the suggestion though, inspired me to pull the ps2 out of the closet and play the MM collection :icon_bigg)

I have a few Mega Man prototypes for PlayStation, a few for NES, a few for SNES, the unreleased US version Of Mega Man 2 Power Battle for arcade (it was released in Japan), and I think one for Game Gear, maybe one for GameCube, not sure...I've been selling off the disc ones, though. I also have a couple Game Boy betas of Mega Man games, and maybe a GBA beta.

There's always Mega Man Mania/Anniversary Collection (GBA), which I just tossed up a little topic about over at LostLevels.

I spoke to Capcom about why it was canned years ago, and they said it was better to put on future platforms (i.e) DS.

That never saw a Japanese release?

Battle & Chase and Power Fighters were both translated to English and "released" back in the days, just not in the US.
Same goes for Mega Man X3 on the PlayStation too.

However, they've all set foot in the US through the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and the X Collection.

You mean Mega Man Mania/Anniversary Collection (GBA) ?
Nope, it's yet to be released anywhere and words back on the streets in late 2005 suggested an NDS platform change... but that was about the last time there was any news on the compilation.
I dunno what studio did this, but I know the rest of the "Anniversary Collection" set (PS2/GC/Xbox) was done by "APE" (Atomic Planet Entertainment)

Wow DreamTR thats a lot. Are there any rom dumps of any of the older ones ( NES and SNES ) around anywhere that you know of? Also, Buyatari, can you elaborate a little on what that e3 edition of MMX7 is like ( different levels, bosses, anything like that?).

I've never played the retail version so I wouldn't know. I am quite sure there are some differences.

If memory serves me right, there's a dump of a Mega Man 3 prototype and also a dump of a Mega Man 7 Sample ROM. (Dunno if there's been any dumps of any other early magazine previewed sample ROMs though...)

Apparently the wonderswan game of Rockman and forte went through several changes during it's development, as did the first game in the series for family computer, so there is a couple of betas, that must be unfeasibly hard to get hold of.

Also apparently they experimented alot with all the family computer games, so the beta versions of those games must be different too.
