I picked up a 512G SD today and quickly realized that I misread how folders work. Apparently what it's looking for is a leading zero for folders 1-9 and you don't need to mess with anything else. I've tweaked the scripts and am running some tests on a bunch of files. Once confirmed working I'll push the updates. So far the card is working great which is impressive considering it cost about $60.

I've added support for a bunch of different flavors of gdi dumps and made a few other improvements. I test it against 450 files from various sources and everything worked except a few bad zips. Should be stable/robust enough to actually be usable now. 450 discs is using 54% of the SD so I guess 512G should be enough to hold pretty much everything.

I'm not sure what the latest one is. There are different ones with the same version and date. You need an IP.BIN that supports LIST.INI if you don't want it to take a ridiculous amount of time to start with hundreds of games.

You got me. That should have been 1ST_READ.BIN.
You might want to read more than one post before making assumptions.

But the "latest version" doesn't necessarily support that function. I tested many and a lot don't. That's precisely why I said to look for a specific feature and not the "latest version"

The easiest way to get the files you need is to extract them from an image that works. In my case I extracted working ones from an image created with maddsheeps GDEMU_SD. Then put 1ST_READ.BIN in ./menu and IP.BIN in ./dat and run mk_menu

mkmenu builds the gdmenu cdi. It's not going to solve your problem. But you'd probably use the same tools it does to build your cdi. I'm not familiar with that issue with that game. Does your gdi not work because the game requires a patch that the cdi has? Have you tried different settings with the gdi? I don't know what dummy file your cdi has so I can't say what it is or how/if it can be removed.
To load multi disc games you can put the disks in order in sequentially numbered folders and press the button on your GDEMU to switch to the next disc.
