So this have been a while without a update, but here is a very positive one.
A very talented friend of mine, agreed to help me with the logo.
She ended up redrawing the whole thing, and aline it all using Goemon's image from Silicongraphics.
As far as I can tell it is a perfect match, so all credit goes to her.

I will upload it as a jpg here, for show.
But also add a illustrator pdf, in which you can edit it yourself.

I will try to print this onto a N64 jewel, but first I will finish up my Nintoaster project :D

Jason from gametech is currently selling these jewels. I wonder about the quality.

Yeah, I wonder that too, but it looks very amateur made.

I have actually spoken to the guy who makes these. He offered me one for free, if he could use the newest design of the U64 logo.
So once I get it, I will let you know.

Rocker Gaming was nice enough to send me a jewel, where he used the artwork of the Ultra 64 made above.

    These are very nicely made.
It is made out of acrylic and then the artwork is printed on somehow.

Here is how it looks on my N64.

So thank you rocker gaming for the kit!
I finally have a good looking Ultra 64 (except for the cartridge label, which the sun killed) :D

Uh, that is very nice progress!
    Glad my reference material helped.
This jewel from rocker gaming looks like good quality.
But unfortuantely I have spotted a few issues.
The Logo seems to come in 2 versions. I remember I wrote this already.
The version for the cartridge is more detailed or better has more colors.
This is what we got with the new GFX from your friend.
The version for the jewel however is different.
The gradient is shorter, there is more white. Also the jewel GFX most likely used just 3 colors, judging from the available pictures.
So that means it uses some kind of dithering.
The TM is missing. The 64 and circle needs to be moved a few pixels up.
I have started to make a corrected version for the jewel.
