Yeah... I feel you man. 100%. *deep sigh*
I talked on the phone with Anthony for 2 or so hours, 2 days before he passed. It was such a deep conversation of just reminiscing on what a different world we lived in back then, (2009-2012) and how much fun it always was. Every day was a new treasure hunt. Every day was striking gold. Rather it was finding unreleased builds, canned Prototypes, or testing demos. Every day was just always so exciting from beginning, to end. We talked about each other's exs, families. We both knew each other's very well back then. His ex Natalie, mine Cayla. We were there for each other during our breakups. Just an awesome friendship with someone I never got the chance to meet in person. Then we got onto the whole... EA Case against Anthony, and man was he absolutely adamant he was going to turn the case over, and walk away with a win. That's the Anthony i'll always remember. Passionate, full of heart, and determined as fuck no matter what the odds are.
I found it all rather confusing, but is this the guy who went to a trade show and hooked up a laptop to steal a game - then got caught?
Good Morning man!
That's part of the story, yeah! Definitely in the "earlier" chapters. I put up a piece about that exact event for people to preview.
Here ya go. Enjoy! https://www.instagram.com/p/BsFMokcA7zW/

What a crock of shit.
I get your trying to fictionalise it but man your taking liberties.
lol who the fuck are you?
The article doesn’t say any names, you sure its the right article?
The only thing I recall gman doing around the times mentioned is scamming people and begging reverse engineers to crack his mass effect build.
Who the fuck are you, what the fuck is this, and why the fuck do you think anybody cares?
oof that instagram page is pure cringe
I'm confused. So you are allegedly a member of an old hacker group that hacked xbox live and gained access to a military helicopter simulator? (Yep I read the wikipedia.) And you're writing a book about it?
How are you not in jail?
How are you not in jail?
I really looked into this story because I was curious. Someone please step in and correct me if I'm wrong here.
Here's a link to an old article.
All these hackers did was hack into and steal a bunch of files including some US military shit. They didnt do this to preserve a lost video game, or to make a social or political point (not that either of those would neccesarily make it ok) they just did it for shits and giggles. I couldn't find any real motive here. People went to prison, someone committed suicide, and the people involved want to move on with life, which, in my opinion, is more than reasonable.
So tell me, how is this "the good old days"? It sounds like a fucked situation for every single person involved. And why would you want to write a story glorifying this?
I am almost tempted to buy the book just to see what is going on here, but now we have people taking stabs at your credibility. Something is off. If I am missing something here please tell.
Consider me "on the fence" about purchasing this book.
because hes not a real computer hacker its just his next great scam. making a fast buck off the misfortune of others.
