Hope you find what you're looking for. iOS and Android games are so undocumented and lack a long-term community following; so games that are no longer available from the official sources are usually gone for good. I also know from experience.
There is going to be an iOS downgrading talk tomorrow at the 33c3, which will also include downgrading newer 32 bit iOS devices.
So maybe your iPad guy could downgrade to a vulnerable FW, in case they release it ... which I believe they do.
Thanks for the heads up.
Look at this, there was a Jailbreak release for 32 Bit devices which are on older iOS versions:
In the pastebin you can see that iPad 2s on 9.3.3 are supported.
Hope this helps you!
This seems to be the Trident exploit, you might want to follow the official steps from the github page, rather than use someones .ipa file.
Soooo ... did you try what iCEQB suggested?
Thanks guys. The guy I know who has it, I am just waiting for him to get his computer setup with ifunbox and itunes. I am waiting to make sure that the jailbreak is stable before we try it though. I don't want to mess it up and loose the data. Also there is another jailbreak coming from another team soon, so it looks like the quest for the data will be over soon. Send positive thoughts my way.
Any updates on this?
The guy who has the data has assured me he will get me the data, but he is extremely busy with life atm. I will update this when I get the data. The guy who is going to help me with the private server, said that the game is looking for a json response. We are hoping that the game cached these responses. If they didn't then the json can be reversed engineered, but it is a very slow trial and error process. Anyone here familar with how ios game cache server responses? Do the record them in cache or not? Also, if you are interested in playing this game, please respond. I am curious how many people care about this.
I'm not actually interested in playing this game (not only because I don't have an iOS device or plan to get one ), but I care alot about preserveration and if there are projects which ensure that we can still play "online-only" games, I see enough reasons to just go for it whether enough people are interested or not.
If only one dude on this planet wants to play it again, you did everything right
I will never buy a iphone in my life but I really would like to see the preservation of this game!
Update now that assemblergames is back. I have gotten the data from the ipad. Game is being worked on now. Still really no news on if it can be brought back, but I think it will be brought back someday, but I think it will take awhile.
I'm glad you got it. Hopefully it pays off!
So you have all relevant data for Soul Calibur ? The complete IOS game ? :'D
