Any plans for other SuperFX games, like Yoshi's Island?

You seem to have much greater luck with the castellations and OSHpark than I do :(

I already have super mario world 2 :)

They have been pretty good so far. I have to protect them though with extra pcb, otherwise they will tack on adjacent boards.

ST M27C801-100N1 is the exact memory I used.

Ah, that's a pretty good idea. I will try that next time - thanks for the tip

Would this work with Megaman X2 and X3 carts?

Hi Dibmem. I am just asking about the mask roms if they are the same pinout as the SuperFX cart. I want to convert a JAP X2 into either a English X2 or X3

Ahh - That's an intriguing use for these adapters. You'll likely want to contact OP directly with that inquiry. (I looked on the usual SNES board databases, but it's unclear to me if the maskroms are the same between SuperFX boards and MM X2/X3 boards.)

I have these superfx/cx4 adapters that can be used on MMX2, MMX3 and superfx boards.

They're super cheap because I have so many, €4 per 10 or €15 for 50.

While this board was designed for M27C801-100N1 EPROM, should this also work with flash chips as well? For example the SST39SF040-70-4C-WHE looks like it might work.

Why does it look like it might work? The pinouts differ.

Oh, I must've been looking at the DIP pinout instead of comparing TSOP pinouts.
If you program the flash chip before mounting it on the adapter and tie the /WE pin to +5v then there'd be no problem.
But that flash chip goes only up to 4mbit which isn't very useful as most (all?) superfx games are larger than that.

Unfortunate that 5V flash in the right capacities (8m, 16m and up) don't seem to be common. And places like mouser and digikey dont carry these EPROMs anymore (labeled "Obsolete")
Too bad some sort of MicroSD card board doesn't exist that could be retrofitted onto SuperFX carts. Like a Micro-Everdrive daughterboard that could take the place of the mask rom (lol wishful thinking!).
