Is this a prototype I bought? I believe it looks different than the normal street fighter II motherboard, but I'm not sure. (It claimed to be a prototype)

Could anyone send pics of what a normal streetfighter 2 cart looks like?

Can you send a picture of the streetfighter retail board?

It can be just that they used a different batch of ROM chips, that's all. Serial number is there, just in different place, and it's the same.

It's a common ROM chip on those boards. I would get back at the seller if I was you.

yeah, it's quite common scam nowadays - people trying to sell retail PCBs or retail cartridges with original label removed and replaced with something printed on a piece of old paper. It's easy to end with a copy of some old and bad sports game.
In this case it's just a retail PCB.
I think there are no prototypes with ROM chips factory marked with retail game code. Most of them have EPROMs and in most cases - different board. Not always though, i have a legit prototype of Famicom game which uses PCB of another game with same mapper with original chip replaced with socket and EPROM. But that was because they wanted to make 3 cartridges quickly to give them to testers so they basically bought 3 cheap games with same mapper and modified those cartridges. The only non-retail boards that used same chips were some review copies with final version of the game. But those hardly worth more than retail games because it's what they are, just with less prettier labels.

Is this from that dude from Ebay claiming all the Toys R Us demos are protos and using DreamTR's "I found this from a liquidation sale" in the tagline? He and I went at it a while ago over an Aladdin.

Yeah, same happened to me, though I caught him before he mailed it to me. He tried to turn it on me, but it was just a bunch of BS. I think he might still have a few up even after being called out, which is misleading and garbage. These are just smaller game boards used in kiosks, not prototypes, and he's STILL using a copy/paste job of Dream's "purchased in a liquidation," which is a load of crap. I hope you negged him on Ebay lol.
