Since the Prototopia Project is currently down, I thought I'd share a few PS1 betas to save people the time of searching the internet trying to locate them. All dated correctly and in BIN/CUE format. Tomb Raider IV 'The Times Exclusive' Beta [NTSC] (PC to PS1) This is mis-labelled, I know because I wast the one who released it and put it together so it worked with the final game. The name suggests it was converted from PC to PS1 which wasn't the case.
Yeah, I forgot to correct this. I remember the thread on the subject. Like others in that thread, I originally believed it was a port job like Unfinished Business until you confirmed otherwise. Tomb Raider IV Beta name corrected and re-upped.
What's the Thrill Kill NTSC-U floating around , July er October ? er was it completed ..? Cheers much for your kind ups ! Don't think I've seen Silent Hill 1 beta , also wondering what Tomb Raider 4 Times Exclusive means
Indeed. Don't forget to take the 7zip compression in to account. Even then, they are still pretty small images when extracted. What made up the bulk size of these games was the Voice, Soundtrack, and FMV videos, which obviously don't exist in these builds. I believe another Thrill Kill beta is floating around. I had trouble finding it when I was looking.
Crash Bandicoot Beta [08-03-96] [NTSC] -> Crash Bandicoot Alpha [08-04-96] [NTSC] Crash Bandicoot Beta [11-05-96] [NTSC] -> Crash Bandicoot E3 DEMO [11-05-96] [NTSC]
The first Crash beta is dated correctly (March). I could change the second to 'E3 Demo', but it's fine as is to be honest. I also wouldn't change it to Alpha as the game is way past that stage of development. Most of the game was set in stone at that point so it's definitely a beta.
