thanks and yah thats no big deal water marks are always good credit where it due
Very interesting ! Especialy the file 9/11 where we have a complete wire diagram of video out . I can see a direct video output with csync signal (who bypass the dac). Proper to use progressive video (when it used) and making a cable with the right pinout.
Let's see the price of something like that. And the amount of time needed to perfect the design (all the routing). And don't say, we can use and "auto-router" cause you won't get anywhere near as good when doing it manually.
Also, doing this in 45nm? Seriously, you guys think this is doable both technologically and economically for regular people?
They did it with the NES!
Well, pirates that is.
Obviously the saturn is a much more complex system, but given the right tools to the right people; it's definately possible for them to create ICs and/or blob designs.
I don't understand why this conversation has gone on so long. Not going to happen. Might as well get a MacMini, throw XP on it, and a Saturn emu. And paint it black.
because emulators just emulate signals not actual hardware
the video is either off our the sounds are off or the games will run faster then they really would
also there are people who just like real hardware over something you cant actually touch
given that only 10 million Saturn's were made world wide compared to the 100 million+ sold by every console made by Nintendo from snes forward Sony and Microsoft 100 mill is par for the course
wow. real names of cd signals. this is what i want
SO does anybody think the saturn will ever be cloned?
Would it be possible to use several FPGAs to further slim down the hardware? Like emulate both SH-2s with one FPGA?
I wonder how much the Saturn could have been slimmed down if it had lasted longer. They probably coulda. Ade something similar to the PSone..
any useful info to understand the cd protection magic?
thanks, I was looking for.
so with the schematics could i take the chips of the motherboard and build a home made saturn from this??? dump question??? maybe???
I'm not sure where my copy is. As the link is down, could someone re-upload it?
Does anyone still have this who can provide a re-upload?
Separate names with a comma.
