    Hello all,

I am still trying to collaborate a schematic for the comsoft v4 laser fix.
Trying to backport it to v9-v11 console revisions.

RetroGamingArts from Youtube seemed interested when I mentioned it to him, so hopefully this will be a good trial test.

I wonder if it is possible to port the comsoft v4 hex code to support something like a 12F629 chip?
This way the chip can be troubleshooted instead of a write-once chip.

    Many thanks in advance,
    HaloSlayer255

If it's code originally written for 12C508, it will work on 12F508 without issues. 12F508 is re-writable.

Do you have a link to the original hex files?

Oh wow, are you still working on this HaloSlayer255! I thought you would have them done and dusted by now :)

I finished the V9 and v12 that I had sometime last year. I went for the Subzero and Summ0ne fixes for both consoles in the end but did have a comsoft v4 in the v9 for a very short moment whilst trying to figure out an issue with eject not working when the Subzero fix was installed but I managed to figure it out in the end and went back to the subzero fix for simplicity.

    Hello Mord.Fustang,

Thanks for the reply, might have to see if I can source some of those chips. Anyway, the link I used was from this post: https://web.archive.org/web/2014102...orums/f110/comsoft-fix-v4-blue-led-out-35724/

    Hello Kel,

Yep, still trying to find one of my consoles and get everything sorted, lets just say a few things in life cropped up and this kinda took back burner. Very interesting that it worked as expected.
Now we can at least get to creating a schematic installation, will probably do that on my next day off.

It keeps saying the forum is closing in 30 days but the time doesn't change as the days count down, just in case can both of you PM me your contact e-mails?

I'll respond back from my gmail with the subject, "Comsoft v4 porting and PIC porting."

Thank you both for your time,
    HaloSlayer255
