    Hi All,

Looking for the PSVita DevKit hardware and if its possible a way to reactivate the hardware after 90 days, everything thru a PM, I understand all the stuff is watermarked so ready to follow the rules, and go for the agreement, so hopefully we find solution.

    Thanks in advance,

    Sincerely,
    Rnd

Give up. You possibly won't get one and on top of that only the organization that the unit is licensed to can make Keys for that device and said permissions to make keys can be revoked at any time.

Yeah this impossible, really. The PS3 dev kit is still really hard to find, and extremely expensive and it's at the end of it's life. The Vita is new, and Sony won't be letting those kits out of arms reach.

    On other hand
I guess a bit later there should be tons of them on market.

    2000 euros for a psvita devkit, 7500 euros for a DECR-1000

That's because the ps3 DECR-1000 are very expensive and rare, they are no longer sold in the EU since July 2008, they are mostly sold to the USA and Asia for studios that whish to acquire new licenses, they usually only purchase one, which is used for performance monitoring, then they purchase DECR-1400 and (mostly) DECH units for actual development because they mostly have the same functionalities and are a lot cheaper. (2k euros for DECR-1400A and 750euros for DECH units)

This makes DECR-1000 incredibly rare, most of those are at first party studios and studios that purchased kits before the 2.00 update showed up (which allowed debugging features on the DECH units)

Again see my post. Even if a kit gets on the market it will be dead in a few months and only the studio that bought the unit can restore the unit's license (no license, can't run debug code).

Now if you try getting one directly through sony expect to jump through many hoops to prove your a real studio. Sony is very indie dev friendly but you still have to prove your a legit company.

Interesting. But what do you need to do exactly to prove it and how much money and time it may take?
Its not a problem to find someone with bachelor/mage degree in IT.
Its not a problem to register company.
Its not a problem to bs to whoever from other country that some bs indie project(made by someone in your country who isn't interested in psvita kit) is yours.
    What else to bs?

You probably have to show some sort of coding ability, and most likely rather advanced skills.

Wouldn't be surprised if you have to show some evidence of having made games before.

If someone really wanted to badly they could get through the hoops but it won't be cheap at all. The easier shot would be through Pub Fund but even then you have to show and prove you actually have something.
You act like your list is something you could do in a day but it's not and even if you did it would set off red flags that would get you rejected.

Again, even if you get a kit from sony your limits on it are for as long as they let you. Your rights to devnet (to be able to get updated 90 day licenses) can be pulled at any time.

This would mean to lose some $$$(Do anyone have an idea about how much?) on freelance programmers.
I don't need it. I'n just interested if its possible.
But what about ps2 dtl-7500x(new boxed) nowadays - can you get it same way from Sony or only ps vita was created accessible for indie studios?
