Hi guys, I look for a PSP2/PS VITA. Surely a debug unit is prefered while a retail unit is also fine if available asap (before street release). I know theres quite a few only around but maybe I have luck here ;-) If debug unit: - Willing to pay higher price for unused/boxed item for sure If retail: - Please ONLY boxed units For some it's important so: I am not a collector, the units will be used for research and not collecting dust in some dark corner. Tho it will be handled with enough respect to not break it after a few minutes. Delivery destination is in Europe. Contact me here, in EFNET or via MSN (skfu@live.de). Thanks in advance, - SKFU
I'll be in Tokyo from next week to 18th of December to cover the press launch of: Monster tri G for 3DS - 10 december Final Fantasy XIII-2 for PS3 - 15 December Ps Vita - 17 December I'll be back in Europe the 19th morning For a retail I can help you Mak Btw I want to say something that maybe most do not know.. TO ALL THE GUYS AROUND THE WORLD: ATTENTION ON SHIPPING FROM JAPAN: Beware to many Ebayers saying that it will be possible to ship Ps Vita with normal post - point n.6 "lithium batteries (excluding lithium batteries embedded into devices)" http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/use/restriction/other_en.html Since 2010 any japanese post office will refuse ANY console with lithium battery (ex: gameboy, 3DS or Ps vita) Don't get cheated believing ebayers who will promise you what is not possible The only way to ship from Japan a portable console with lithium battery is UPS or Fedex and believe me they are really expensive!
FedEx may be expensive, but I had good experiences with them! And in this case shipping will be around 10% or so of the items worth, so it works out okay I guess. I for one can recommend FedEx
I was told SCHK will also be getting the PSVITA although only a small quantity but never the less they'll be getting theirs a few days after the Japan release date. HK, doesn't have any restrictions in respect to lithium battery exportation! Just an option if anyone's after a PSVita! There was one going for £285 including insured shipping. @MAkJapan, I sooo flippin' wish I were in your shoes, I'd love to visit the TGS, you're such a lucky git;-)
Thank you my friend, hope next year you can come there too ^^ they will be made in China, not made in Japan beware my friend - In my long working experience in Asai, with China the only ones who make an affair is them! If you can get the japanese one, otherwise follow my friend suggestion with the maximum caution my 2 cents Mak
You do sound like you are scaring people, the Japanese mail regulations do prohibit the sending of Lithium batteries on their own, however as your post notes, batteries in devices are restricted but it does not stop you from sending a device with a built in battery, it requires more work on the part of the sender and some post offices will refuse them point blank but I have posted a Nintendo 3DS from Japan with a built in battery (printing the handy PDF they have on Lithium batteries helped...) and posting a Vita will probably be be the same.
It should be noted. Japan Post has lighten the restrictions recently but it's still pretty stupid. You can ship units with batteries built in but only through Surface mail and not EMS. It is possible to get stuff with batteries through EMS though. I've had quite a few arcade parts and a 3DS with batteries get through EMS. There is still the risk that Japan Post might turn the package down. Pretty much all vita being made for this year all come from the same place. While sony is producing units for both Japan & HK (asian launch is same date as japan), they still are both coming from the same place. Most import shops online right now are only offering up JPN release units atm (pre-orders for HK/Asian units from sony hk didn't start tilll last friday).
since this became a discussion thread about shipping items from japan i want to mention that i still search units @MAkJapan: thanks for your offer, if i wont gettin a chance to get a unit earlier, i will come back to it
it seems there are several versions of devkits with different specs around now. i am interested in any of those. im not sure if there is even one with 3g, but id prefer this.
Hellcat and I saw a nice presentation on the devkits at GDC EU, they are so tiny and normal sized like the retail, yet have hdmi and usb cable to go to your pc... god I want one badly too SKFU. @SKFU - BTW, nice work with all your vita stuff so far! I will be following you as the scene progresses. : ) To any who can get a Vita devkit or two - I am also interested. Also interested in any retail you can get your hands on, obviously though since I live in the U.S. and can get one on 02.15, I only want a retail if I can get it within a week or two of Japanese launch or it's just plain insane of me since it's be $249/$299 wifi/3g here... (except I am sure I'll pay the $349 for the 02.15 week early release one) Regards, npt
*lol* who isn't? I'd trade my first born DECR1k for one.... Though, HB on the retail and a decent (HB) SDK would already do the trick for me so far. Oh, and BTW: It's 15.02., not 02.15, you silly american
Hey man, Congratz on your work too so far seems your one of the lucky people too that obtained one very early "lucky" lol anyways its nice to finally meet you here!
Hi, I think this is the perfect thread to post my question. I'm New here. A friend in Japan bought me a PS Vita for Xmas and She can't seem to Mail it over here because of the Lithium battery issue. Any suggestions. She's already bought it and is with her in Japan. Please Help.....
Just get her to send it in the box and write down "used video games" as the item. I do this all the time, no problems. EDIT: but if your friend is a Japanese girl, maybe she won't lie
put used games, ship in slight larger box, and put random customs value under 10k. I have a vita in the post on its way from Japan
