Here's an Xbox I finished over this past weekend. I kept the paint scheme pretty simple. I was going for a "piano" sort of effect. Simple, clean, high contrast, with glossy + matte finishes.

I took it completely apart, cleaned it from top to bottom, then did a few mods to it:
    - Hard drive upgraded from 8GB to 250GB (soon to be 2,000GB).
    - GPU heatsink replaced with a passive-style cooler (no noisy fan)
    - BIOS flashed (via TSOP-flash) to iND-BIOS. Planning on doing a TSOP BIOS bank switch.
    - Thermal paste replaced with MX4
    - Controller port LED mod

There's a few minor spots I need to touch up on but for the most part it came out looking really sharp!

Beautiful, I love the look of good old black and white mix.

And TSOP switch is done :D

I didn't have a SPDT switch that wasn't huge so I used a SPST power switch instead. The switch goes into a 5v relay which is double-throw so that is what switches the connection points. The +5v line goes through an LED pointing out of the bottom so there's a very slight green glow on the bottom indicating which bank is in use. It's very subtle but still noticeable enough to tell at a glance which BIOS bank is enabled.

The texture of the original xbox makes it hard to get a nice paint job without sanding it.

Looks nice. I miss the modding scene for the original xbox, it was really creative.

That’s one sexy Xbox, you took some good pics there. I find a lot of folk when they add LEDs to there Xbox it buggers there exposure and you get crap images that make everything look supper bright or dull.

Thx. I have a lot of experience taking product photos and stuff for my job. We ran an online store that sold console parts and custom controller shells and other junk. That was with a 3k dollar camera, but some of it transfers over to my $20 one thankfully.
