As others have mentioned, an amazing find and something that many of us have dreamed of seeing, myself included. Thank you so much for coming to Assemblergames.com to show us this awesome bit of gaming history.

Once you're finished with the console I would send it to someone, you trust, who could professionally inspect the insides of it and also dump the cartridge/CD prototypes for archival purposes.

This is a fucking amazing find OP, just don't abandon us.

Denver! I work in Boulder and I've got a huge stash of random power supplies if you're having a hard time finding one.

If you do try to boot it up and the CD-ROM doesn't eject, be aware that it could just be a rotted rubber band -- those tend to break in really old optical drives. Giveaway symptom: When you hit the eject button, you hear a whirring as if a motor is spinning, and then it pauses as if it's stopping to spin in the other direction.

If you have a CD for it, use imgburn to try to save it as an ISO -- preserve that thing!

Absolutely incredible find -- thanks for sharing it! I look forward to more pictures / etc.

Most staff have said this, but I also want to mention that it's very nice of you come forward and share photos of such a rare piece.
Still love to see more, and thank fuck your dad didn't throw it out!
It's a lot different to the renders many of us have seen from those very small scans from magazines.

Is the unit heavy? Curious if this actually works.

    Wow this is beyond awesome.
This truly is some kind of holy grail for both PlayStation and Super Nintendo collectors.
It's like the missing link between prehistoric man and man.

    Thanks Dnldbld for sharing this!

Typical that the owner would have no idea what to do with said hardware and people are tripping over their feet with unreasonable offers of help.

Cool item, but crack that SOB open already.

I'm sure whatever inboxes he has are already flooded. I enjoyed the fact that his initial reddit post said that he finally had the chance to take a picture of it.

Kudos to him. Smart man. Considering what it has the propensity to be worth both for monetary and informational purposes, it helps everybody. Hopefully you're not experiencing too much obnoxiousness because of it.

Absolutely amazing! Like another said, when possible I'd back up the data from the disc and cart.

Wow. This device represents the confluence of 2 universes. One where Nintony/Sontendo exists, and ours. Incredible stuff OP! What's on that cart??

This is a really awesome story !

I hope you will also be able to make videos of the games you have if you succeed to make it work.

You are right, they did got ordered to destroy them!

Better blur out the serialnumber (if it has one) I bet once the serialnumber is readable
Nintendo/Sony can find out who did not destroyed it and maybe Nintendo/Sony or whoever which party worked on that project. would still demand that person to get rid of it

Hey guys, to wake up to all this as my first post was both overwhelming, but also amazing to see that Dnldbld (thanks btw) showed up. Anyways, my question is, would the cartridge work on an ordinary SNES?
