@Dnldbld Thankfully! Don't let anybody drag you down about the prototype. Oh, and I sincerely hope to see a video of it in action one day.

Can't wait to hear what your game store dude has to say! I'm glad this console is in the hands of someone who's willing to share information about it, a lot of us really appreciate what you're doing.

Hello. Long time reader, first time poster. First I want to say congratulations in finding the holy grail of video games.

Now what I want to say is, DO NOT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SHIP THIS ANYWHERE! There is no telling who is watching this thread looking for hints on when and what area you will be shipping this console. There are some people that will go to great lengths to intercept the console. With so much corruption involving stolen packages, why even chance it?

Wherever you need to take this console, take it yourself. Just whatever you do, don't ship it anywhere. This is far too important.

    Thank you and good luck!

@NintenFan The one with the sideways drive kinda reminds me of a mirror-reversed Sega Pluto, except it has a front-loading tray.

I'm not sure whether I'd like one of those, or just the add-on...

    Hi
I'm following you since many years but I had to register because this topic shocked me.
The Super Famicom CD Rom add one was one of the gadget I wanted so badly (I bought the satella view as a back up solution lol )
I want to share with you some scans of Japanese magazine (around August 1992) I bought when I was there.

Ummm guys, this story is all over my snapchat... I think Dan is going to get some not so wanted attention. And I think the story isn't very accurate... Check it out fast ! It's on the Fusion channel in the discovery section.

See how the cartridge slot is covered with a piece that says "Super Disc System Cartridge"? I believe that lends credence to my suggestion that the included "for demo" cart may be a jumper pack or system-in-a-cart type device that was needed to use the CD-ROM functions of the machine.

I am sorry, I misread the article. He might be able to get the system up and running, or at least open it.

No links or patent ID? That would have been very interesting.
