It will be playable on Portland Retro Gaming Expo so many of you here will have the chance to play it ;) Seriously, this is one of the few games from the NES library that remains to be dumped online...maybe i should do a master list about the unreleased games for the NES (but i feel that should be part of a bigger list i'm planning to do here :) )

A bit more info popped up for those who haven't clicked the link to NA: it appears that NES Simcity uses the MMC5 chip (Metal Slader Glory, Castlevania III, etc.)

That's actually the son of the owner of the two prototypes. Update: the video uploader, Benjamín Ramirez does not own the protos. He just happen to be just the uploader of the video, who made it 'cause the owner came out like nowhere with the most sought-after unreleased game for the NES right after Earthbound Beginnings.

Man, too much negativity from people in the video. You'd think everyone would assume the people in the video might be looking at their comments and are being influenced by the negativity. They're only making themselves look bad, not the kid that they hate so much (he's young, get over it.)

Hope this one gets preserved someday, glad the guy was nice enough to share.

Man. This stuff is crazy. I did see this on NintendoAge, but hadn't looked at it yet. How do people come up with these finds? I do think it's really cool that we are still uncovering these historical pieces.

Wow, I find it quite amazing that the NES can run that kind of simulation, just managing that much data in so little RAM (even with the MMC5 chip) must have been insanely hard...
I'd love to see this one dumped, really.

I'd love to see the likes of a Limited Run Games style company that makes a CIB reproduction of games like this (ie. prototypes). They may exist already but I haven't looked to be honest haha

People have done small runs of prototypes of NES games and the like. Its actually how some of them pay for their prototypes, buy one and do a small run, usually around 20 - 50 units, to pay for some of it.
