The SNK Playmore USA forums don't seem to be in the wayback machine so I don't have a source to cite, but I remember that they did talk about this when people were upset about the cancellation was announced. They explained that, due to delays, both '94 and Neowave for Xbox had been pushed into early 2006. The original Xbox market dried up really fast after the 360 was released, so they felt they only really had resources to get one of the two out while the Xbox was still viable, and of the two they felt that Neowave had broader appeal.

I remember playing the US build of this at the EB Games manager's conference back in 05. It was pretty much done.

All you really need is a hard or soft modded original xbox. Soft modding an xbox console is quite easy and only requires a save game and one of 3 specific games.

All he needs is a DVD drive in his PC. You guys are thinking way too hard. I offered to help a few years back I think, offer still stands. I can dump it and ship it right back if you wanted.

Exactly, was just thinking the same thing.
It's already burned, so any iso dump on PC is good, then just extract and you have the 'raw files'.

@Borman: this is how I actually came across the (unoriginally dumped) version of 'Acclaim Juiced' through Xcalibur, and had to perform the same action for converting.

I made an iso of the disc, and it's about 1.7 GB of...something. I don't have a system to run it, so I can't be sure that it isn't...I don't know, a huge drawing of Calvin dressed up like Terry Bogard and pissing on the Capcom logo.

But here it is. See what you can do with it!

If this turns out to be worthless, I'll look into sending the disc off to Borman.

Downloading it now, will be able to tell you in a few minutes :p

Edit: Looks to be there, getting it extracted and transferred over now.

Edit2: Working. Will upload a video shortly.

Amazing. Started up first try when burnt to DVD.

I can tell you Japanese support was planned. Setting the MS dash option does what you'd expect to win quotes and things.

Wow. So it was that easy? Now I feel dumb for letting this sit around so long.

Are you running it on an emulator, Borman?

People don't realize how easy Xbox stuff can be hah. Some stuff is a bit trickier of course.

No emulator. Running it on a debug kit since that is what I always have set up. Captured the 480p footage. If you ever look to get rid of the original in the future, keep me in mind.

Xbox doesn't need to be opened to run backups. As long as the laser isn't shot, burnt DVD-Rs load with only a softmod.

it works on jtag 360 with the hacked xbox1 emulator...but
    738802menu.jpg
Menus from severe graphical corruption issues
    695689taku.jpg
Ingame character sprites suffer from minor graphical issues.

furthermore no problems with 3d background and no slowdown.

    @Kid Fenris
    thanks for the dump.
