Is the XPS overpriced?

    I'm mostly talking about the begining of 2006 when I bought the card. I don't keep up anymore because comp games just don't interest me much anymore. Either way it's a great card, last I checked there a little better then 8600. And holy shit, stop ending all your sentences with "..."!!!!! :110:

    The thing about Crysis is that it's framerate drops significantly using DX10. That was kind of my point; DX10 likely uses more resources than necessary. There isn't really a reason that turning on a few shader effects should effectively cripple $500+ video cards.

    Hmm,

    I use a 8600GT and I find that using DX10 usually improves performance, I've found this to be true in Crysis and most recently Company of Heroes.
