    Hi,

    i got a disc with driver and programms for SFC/SNES Sound development. I think the sound debugger and co never released before. So i hope this will help some SNES developers.

    It can be used with the Emulator-SE and the IS-Sound.

    https://megaupload.nz/Ze75jbTfmb/SS_rar

    Please let us know when you investigate the files, and found something.

    Here the US Doc for the Sound Development:

    **********************************************************************
    * *
    * SNES SOUND DEVELOPMENT SOFTWARE *
    * (README.DOC) *
    * VERSION 1.0 *
    * MAY 10, 1991 *
    * c 1991 NINTENDO OF AMERICA INC. *
    * c 1991 INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS CO., LTD. *
    * *
    **********************************************************************

    * This Floppy Disk includes the programs as follows:

    ISSND.EXE : SOUND CPU ASSEMBLER PROGRAM
    SNESSND : SOUND CPU DEBUGGER FILE
    RUN.BAT : EXECUTE BATCH FILE
    SOLLINK.EXE : SOUND LIBRARY LINKER PROGRAM
    SOLLINK.DOC : SOUND LIBRARY LINKER DOCUMENT FILE
    WAVE : "SOLLINK" PARAMETER FILE
    WAVE.ICE : "SNESSND" ICE FILE
    SOUND.SND : SOUND DRIVER
    EQU.ASM : SOUND DRIVER RAM DEFINITION FILE
    GAKEQU.ASM : SOUND DRIVER MUSIC DATA EQU FILE
    MAIN.ASM : SOUND DRIVER MAIN PROGRAM
    GATEVOL.ASM : SOUND DRIVER GATE/VOLUME/SOUND DEFINITION FILE
    GAKUFU.GAK : SOUND DRIVER MUSIC DATA FILE
    ISX2SBN.EXE : SOUND BINARY DATA CONVERSION PROGRAM
    SBOOT.X65 : SOUND BOOT PROGRAM
    SBOOT.ICE : "SNES" ICE PROGRAM
    *.SOL : SOUND LIBRARY FILE

    ** When executing RUN.BAT, the following files should be in the same
    directory:

    SOLLINK
    ISSND
    ISLINK
    SNESSND
    ISX2SBN
    SNES
    IS65

    The three files (SNES, IS65 and ISLINK) were included with the
    SNES Emulator System Disk.

    To run the sound program in the sound debugger, the "APUO" must
    be changed from 0:00 to 0:01.

    APUO 0:00 1:00 2:00 3:00 APUI
    (00 : STOP)
    (01 : START)

    *** Example of sound programming procedure for the Super Nintendo
    Entertainment System is shown as follows:

    1) Generate sound data (SOLLINK)
    2) Generate sound driver (PROGRAM EDITOR)
    3) Assemble and link sound program (ISSND & ISLINK)
    4) Execute program by sound debugger (SNESSND)
    5) Convert to Sound binary File (ISX2SBN)
    6) Assemble and link main program (IS65)
    7) Execute program by debugger (SNES)

    Happy tunes! ;)

    regards
    Chris

    There are tools for PC98 in there, such as SME (SHVC Music Editor), SGE (SHVC Gakufu Editor), SWM (SHVC Sound Wave Maker).
    They require the IS-SOUND to be connected however.

    Wow, I had to connect with TOR, or it would not work. My ISP may be blocking the site entirely...

    I have a drive that should be able to dump this floppy, if you need help with this...
    I use it for the X68000 and it works flawlessly.
    If it is in bad shape, you should ask for assistance to The Games Preservation Society, they have very sophisticated hardware to dump media of all kinds...
