you have to read readme more carefully
How I do it just make a mini compressed or even uncompressed and change it to BOOT.ELF way under the limit :subdued:
I am guessing it can not read your KELF or maybe you are using the full OPL uncompressed
i'm using a mini-opl injected into my own dvdplayer, injecting(into partition header) works fine with kermit.
and how can a normal elf be injected? i thought the ps2 refuses to boot un-encrypted elfs from the hdd.?
I'm not able to inject a KELF with 1.6MB in size either, by using HDL Dumpx. README says the limit for that is 2.5MB if I understood rightly. Although this is not a big problem, since I can handle with ELFs until 732KB in size.
Is there a way to compress a KELF which was made with a dvdelf.bin along with FMCB injector?
Also, is it possible to have a KELF bigger than 1.6MB?
Thanks in advance.
i just tried a un-encrypted elf, and it works. but why dose the kelf not work? while it works using kermit?
not that it really matters, as i can now use un-encrypted files.
ATADpatcher aims to patch regular ATAD.IRX and KELFs so you can use a non-$ony HDD (< 137 GB). It's main purpose was patching PSBBN and HDD-OSD files, but I've added more patches, including the useless dnasload ones for the fun of it.
1) Drag & drop an ATAD enabled file to ATADpatcher.exe
2) Uncheck "make a backup" if it's not needed and click on start
3) Profit (if you see "0 bytes written", then your file is not "supported", else it's all good)
The text file exposes sequences of bytes that are being patched. Useful for :
- Non-Crosoft OS users or people wanting to use their favorite hexadecimal editor
- Devs wanting to code their own patch
- Plan-B if the patcher has failed to locate and patch the data
Nope . I didn't have the time to mess up with it's resources. POPS is keeping me busy.
I would load the hdd with the prefered hex editor and take a look at the partitions to check where are the differences.
Maybe the icon parameters..?!?
oh!! bug in the program... I will check this out. It seems that hdl_dump cannot operate files which is bigger then 1Mb - weird...
There is some stuff in...
The included README.TXT says what it's all about...
somehow i knew it, lol. i went slighty insane as i couldnt find the error yesterday.
Excuse me, but why are the big, interesting files not region FF?
Because the person who has tweaked these Crabmade files did not mess up with anything else than the bit table and MG encrypted blocks...
Not fair I did not get the Number of that :lol o well have to be fast :stupid:
DL link PMed
LOL... I'm too late as well...:sorrow:
No probs. PM sent.
I don't like exposing that suff for too long, ahah.
Understood the crab is fickle :LOL
Can you send me a pm? :wink-new:
It seems hat I fixed this bug with 1Mb limit. Here is link.
And BTW very simple KELF maker )) fully copyright-free. Big thanks to... all of you know ...
Elf size limit 731888 bytes
