    Hello everyone,

I consult the forum sometime but never register before yesterday.
And i posted my first message before introducing me, sorry for that :p
I'm 33 years old french guy (and yeah, with poor english so sorry for that by advance). I am a developer in my professional life and i am doing also a lot as hobby. I do some developments on the sega megadrive system.
I did a mini development kit called SGDK (Sega Genesis Development Kit) and lately i wrote a small demo.
This forum seems to be really cool to share programming experiences and tips, and this, even for our old loved system :p
I hope to stay there for sometime :)

You forgot to mention you wrote Gens, the first real great Genesis emulator! :) Back then there was only Genecyst, which was getting behind the times with DOS no longer being a viable option, and most other emus have issues with sound and bad compatibility. if you wanted Sega CD or 32x, AGES was the best bet, but it had compatibility issues and again, bad sound. But Gens developed pretty fast and got practically perfect within a short amount of time. I remember being surprised with each update how much was improved. Let's not forget once it went open source it was one of the first Genesis emulators getting console ports left and right.

    Thanks for the memories :)

Hehe thanks :) I was very motived and had tons of free time... anyway today i would write Gens totally differently, when i started it i was a very unexperienced but motived developer, Gens did its job but sources (oldest parts mainly) are a complete mess :p I'm always surprised to see how many ports grown from it...

Wow, I started using Gens back in 2001 or so and was always impressed with the progress it made. It was a truly innovative emulator! I never thought I would have met the author, especially nearly 11 years later.

Welcome to the boards, enjoy your stay!

Welcome to the forums, I have to ask you... are there any old french cars left in France? Like not only restored ones? I personally have a 1987 Citroén AX 11 and a 1987 Peugeot 309 GL :D

In france you can find some BX in good working condition for 600/700e, the problem would be to bring them back to... Iceland ? oh really ? amazing country :)
