I knew before I started to create this room that I wanted glass-fronted cabinets. This was mainly to prevent the games inside from getting too dusty, and also to prevent them from being damaged by accident. I think it also makes the room look cleaner and more streamlined, as all game spines are different - These doors help make everything look more or less uniformal

Yea, I was originally aiming for a complete sealed PAL set, but then all of a sudden games started to dry up and get much harder to locate. I managed to get many of the rarer and sought after ones early though, before they disappeared and before they started to rise in value again, so i'm quite happy about that, as they would be a pain in the arse to get hold of nowadays in the same condition!

dusty? My more rare carts are behind a glass door and I never had any dust problems. Oh well.

I meant that before I had these glass-fronted cabinets, my games would get very dusty out in the open, whereas they don't now they are behind the doors

The AT-ST is indeed a behemoth, especially next to other models which you expect to be much larger, such as the AT-AT! The one I have is the original un-mechanised version, and it's clear to see from the picture that Lego have since changed the shades of grey used (With the newer AT-ST being more of a blueish-grey compared to the older AT-AT) - It makes the AT-AT look somewhat sun-faded or smoke-stained when it isn't.

I only wish I had the room for one of the huge Imperial Destroyer's or the Death Star, but alas I would have nowhere suitable for them to be displayed in such a small room. I do have the second standard sized Millennium Falcon though, as well as the Slave I, B-Wing, and an ARC-170, which take up far too much room as it is! I would like to add more to the collection, although space is a premium as it is now with games and Dvd's taking priority, and there are very few sets I would actually have anyway (I'm not so keen on many of the expanded universe models anyway, and that Sandcrawler just looks tacky) - I wouldn't mind adding an AT-TE, and an X-Wing would be very nice too. I would also love to have the CE Millennium Falcon, but at that price that's a bit of a luxury!

As for the Ferrari stuff, I started collecting intending to obtain a complete set, but then lost interest in it once they started to release all sorts of miniture and Duplo sets, and the larger sets (FXX and new F1) were quite pricey too. I think I have the entire first and second wave though, including Schumacher and Barrichello MiniFig's which are very sought after!

Anyway, back on topic, I will have to redo the collection pictures at some point to show off all the new aquisitions I have bought since October 2008, including my ever expanding Dvd SteelBook collection and various other collection's!

    And I have that Batmobile!

It took me quite a while to build it, and I'm fairly good with Legos.

Also, great collection. I still can't decide if I want to collect or eat. Ramen isn't very healthy. :-(

Lol, an impressive sealed game collection in a glass case, with no UV film....

Don't just put UV film on your windows, put it on the display cases themselves. Otherwise 5 years down the road you may be a proud collector of sealed games all with faded spines. :crying:

My friend put UV film on his windows, and all his stuff faded within the past 10 years anyway. Now he has curtains over his cases, which pretty much negates the point of having glass cases in the first place IMO.

Well I used to keep the games in foldable crates stacked up against the wall covered in a sheet or duvet cover. Now I have thick curtains whicch are never opened, so UV is not an issue for me as I never intend on having the curtains open in this room. It's also North facing, so they would never be in direct sunlight anyway
