Beautiful! I've been curious about this demo for a loooong time now, so very happy to see this!
Yeah I remember that. Those demos are the second I'd love to see after the Babel Tower...
There're a lot of stats if you try the "logon" version. And yes it's kinda of interactive, you can control where the camera points to it's very cool, proving it's not rendered ;-)
This is a very nice find, indeed!
Here is the contents of the README.TXT file included in that disc...
Here is the original files, plus others files interesting...

I deleted by accident the demo and the links are down, does any one have ir?
Are you referring to Family Guy's upload? If so, the links are still working for me. Maybe the site he had hosted them through was temporarily unavailable and is working again now.
Yes, I was referring to Family Guy's upload, seems my download manager was doing some strange things, it works now, thanks.
I don't know why I left this place. I feel like I am a little late to the party but this is just spectacular, congratulations on this! Quack, quack!
You can now play the Tower of Babel demo in an emulator on Mac or PC - thanks to FamilyGuy for giving consent to this. Here: bit.ly/2MUeFhw
Just to clarify, I did not made the GDIs or the original video, I simply acted as the middle man to share the files.
Also, you can change some stuff in the environment of the tower using the debug menu it includes, and/or using a controller in ports 2+, I believe @Woofmute or @Esppiral detailed this in this thread.
Hi FG - yes, I was careful to make sure I gave credit where it was due and also make it clear that you were the middleman, so to speak!
I have the other two tech demos mentioned in the article (the city and the duck). I'm not 100% about the other two. It will be some time before I can get them uploaded, but I will get them uploaded at some point.
Edit: I just checked and, if you have the Set 4 SDK (R4), it's in the Ninja samples directory as "future". It should compile without issue and run within an emulator, IIRC.
This is taken from the "future.doc" file in the same directory:
I can't extract any emulator file...
Do you have a .cdi or gdi .please ?
@fafadou - Which demo are you referring to and what do you mean by "emulator file" ?
If you're taking about the Babel Winepak, the GDIs are posted in this thread a page or two prior, the links are in one of my post.
Wow that's the first time I heard we have access to these demos. That's good news!
yall want early stuff?
i think i have a set5 demo set ported forward for retail
What is a set5 demo? anyway yes! please share anything.
It's just the demos from the set5 sdk ported to retail hardware. Not terribly interesting but maybe could be neat I guess ?
I have the car one already made and couldn't probably port a couple later
Would definitely like to see what other tech demos people here have! I keep hearing about a 'car' demo but I don't ever remember seeing one with a car in it.
On the topic of the Future City demo, I believe the creator of the demo mentioned in the text is a guy called Tom Szirtes. I messaged him on Facebook to ask about the creation of the demo, but I'm not friends with him so I guess he ether didn't want to reply or didn't get notified of my message.
