I recently purchased an FM TOWNS computer (the dark one seen here). Any suggestions on plugging it in the U.S?

If something happens to it, how would I get it repaired?

I also would like to fix the floppy image files to make them work in the FM TOWNS emulator UNZ, as well as know what exact cord I need to hook it up to my VCR 2 PC converter for recording activities on the FM TOWNS.

I would use a voltage converter unless the computer power supply says it can handle 60hz, Japan has two types of power and the FM Towns you showed me is pretty old.

First open it and check for swollen capacitors.

Then check the power supply markings.

You can replace the FDD a disk emulator device, I don't have a link for you but if you search yahoo.co.jp for it, you can find the mods people did.

I would advise caution as the machine is pretty old and you might need to recap the board before use to avoid damage.

Any suggestions on selling my FM TOWNS computer? It seems that it would be very difficult for me to sell it after I use it to make a gameplay video and analog audio records of a rare game's soundtrack.

This made me and my parents upset. This is the roughest Christmas I ever had.

    *bump*

I have been trying to figure out how to prevent it from automatically turning off, while recording high-quality gameplay footage straight from the old computer to a Windows-powered one.

    I kept coming across these:

I have an ION VCR 2 PC Converter with an RCA component port, but it will most likely record in VHS quality. My goal is to record some playthroughs of the 3-disk version of Asuka 120% BURNING Fest., as well as record line-out versions of its soundtrack.

Please, I need the best suggestions!
