I have a front loader NES and just got a fdsstick from a friend. Since I already put money and effort on an RGB mod I am not keen on getting a famicom for fds gaming. So my question is what the best, most clean way of fitting it with my NES is?

I realize I need to mod it for audio and buy a ram adapter. The trick is to connect the ram adapter. I do not find daisy chaining adapters and game genies an attractive solution. Any advice is welcome!

hack up a NES cart, turn it into a pin-converter and extension in one using some ribbion cable

I think the ram pack is too big to fit inside a nes cart so whack a edge connector on the extension, so you can also plug famicom games in too!

Hoping to have them ready in a week or two.
I still have to figure out photos. I'm hesitant to really post any photos any more since they end up stuck forever with a photobucket or imageshack ad. So I'm still trying to decide if I want to post pictures here or just link to places.

Whatever works for you, only please do not require people to go to fecesbook.

    Interesting design.
    Reading your facebook :
"Need either a blinking light win or perfect pins since it can't be seated all the way." Could you explain a bit more please ?
I could be one of your customer :)

So in a normal Front Loader you insert the cartridge and then push it down. With this converter the connector is sticking out the front so it can't actually be pushed down. Basically if you have a Blinking Light win you can't push the game down any way so that should be a good route otherwise if you need to have refurbished pins (usually boiled) or brand new pins.

    Hope that helps.

    Ah OK.
Just for information, Blinking Light Win don't let you to push the cartridge down.
Actually, it replace the whole mobile tray, so you just push the cartridge in the "new tray" already aligned.
So it may be time now to set my Blinking Light Win... :D

So the RAM cart would just... hang down in front? Might not be a good idea for anything bigger than a normal fc cart. I'd definitely add a ribbon cable or sth so everything can be placed down properly and there's less mechanical stress on everything.
Guess Nintendo fans now get to build their own version of this:

He meant to say "if you have a Blinking Light win you can't push the game down any way".
