I have told him this before, the schematic for what is different is above.

Basically 1 and 44 are reversed. You dont need to lift pin 23.

And last request, do you know a bios chip with more memory than the original, because japanese_cake is working on a new bios and he has a lack of space...

    here is his journal https://japanese-cake.livejournal.com/
he dosent say what the new features will be, but he clearly say the space in the bios is luxury.
personly im not sure if a bigger bios image will be compatible.

MX29L3211 - for the VA1/2. Again, this is a 3.3v chip and isnt for the VA0.

But you would need an additional address line to make use of the space - which I am unsure if the DC will have.

2 megabyte is maximum adress spaces for bios, you can use hack, flashrom use 128 Kb, you can replace flashrom chip and use 2 MB, i`m check, it`s possible for read and execute

i install @dragoncity pcb it works ok but the soldering on the stock bios is little hard the pcb wouldnt stay down correct and it looks a little bent now. a good improuvment will be a socket to fit on the stock bios chip

It must be installed, and do welds at the ends to keep it moving, then no worries.

I Install it correctly, and I sold the Pin2 to maintain then I continue, like my video.

I'll see if I can still do better, but it will be 0.01mm! :)

the pcb solution is good. ive done 2 piggyback and bridging the legs is a little pain, i believe like the first post demonstration video that a socket fit solderless on the stock bios chip will make things better easier and faster.

My Gosh havent been here a while guys!
First off all mate never ever ever ever argue with BadAd84 this man is the real deal he knows his ish so 2 say bro he's the real deal man, by far one of the most professional developers in this and i think most other Moding Community out there! So why not read his very nice and well explained posts on your thing and get going from scratch maybe!

But the reason i have to post is you're serious BADAd84 you did not tell right away you got some good solution in stock for hdd sata problem and dual / modded bios ??? Dude please i'm bagging you to bring that bios solution to the community i screwed up at least 5-8 Consoles till that day trying this f***ing piggy pag bios install .... :(

You got any kind of prototyping in the back i'll pay for being your beta tester ;-)

Please give us an update on this 2 amazing pcb's your up to.

Nothing ready at the moment. If/when beta testing happens I'll keep you in mind.

And I appreciate the kind words, but anyone is free to disagree with me. Just best to have some technical knowledge and facts not "works for me".

Hell, I'm fine with works for me, as long as its not commercial. Anyone is free to point out problems/improvements with my stuff.

    Yeah that would be amazing!
Never mind i give credit where credit is due (is this right my english got bad)

Your Posts saying the exact right thing if it's for your private usage and it's working: Fine good for you leave it at that but when it comes to something ment to be sold a thousand times it's the worst idea going for some faulty Curcuit / configuration ignoring Datasheet Specs (which are there not to fill empty pages) it could only turn into a desaster! Even not minding the dozends of unhappy buyers you may face some law suits sooner then you could ship those PCB's out!

Great effort much appreciated that your doing some like this but take his word it's no shame to rethink stuff as long as the results an improvement !
Take your time and do it Right in first way please !
Thanks for your hard work guys

    Keep Dreaming

I'm working on a new board that is already in the final stage of production that includes on the same board the modbios and an adapter ide / sata and do not need to cut the carcass, this is my goal, a preview can be seen here

    about ata/ide

I re-designed this project simply because it could be improved and no one had done it, and also wanted to prove the concept of running it all on one board.

even though there are thousands of GDEMU clones out there, the cost of a board like this between $ 10 and $ 15 is infinitely less. For those who like it is an alternative ...
