I just need to stomach the whole google+ shit that youtube forces down your throat these days. I realize I can simply disable it after uploading a video but it's just so f'ing annoying :D
I'll look into it later, perhaps in the next few days :)

Not as far as I can tell. I don't have a component cable for it, so I guess there could be a jumper in there that forces it to display though AV-Out when it boots. That would be kewl :)

I don't like vertical control handhelds. Horizontal all the way like the PSP 1000, 2000, and 3000 for me.

Nice work! I remember Sony wanting to come out with a set-top UMD media player, kinda like a side replacement for the DVD player. :p

Valid points. I was just curious since there is a cheaper solution for some.

I don't fully remember but I think once setup it will boot in TV mode (mostly since you sleep the unit vs powering down). I also think once set between progressive scan or interlaced the brightness button can turn on TV mode by holding it down.

PSP-Go is actually really nice for it's size and what it contains. It was just way over priced when it launched. His console PSP is very well built but is not something most here would be able to replicate. So the Go offers a decent solution.

Better yet. When playing PS1 games on the Go via a PS3 controller you get full PS1 input mapping (sticks and all) & rumble.

Wow totally great job OP. I'm frustrated with using the PSP controls sometimes, since it's a crappier Sony control setup. But now with your work, things seem a lot more possible. I just hope those Chinese bootleggers don't catch wind of this and we'll have some pretty messed up PSP consoles pretty soon.

I would tell you how awesome it is but you might as well just make a compilation of all the posts made so far and that pretty much sums up how I feel about this.

I tried uploading a video of the PSP in action, but it just didn't work out. At first the video was way too big, then too long (needed some verification) and now that it's up the sound is so much out of sync it's unwatchable :D
I know nothing about editing videos and uploading to youtube. I removed it again, and I don't think a video is coming anytime soon :)

Thanks again for all the kind words though :)

I, for one, would be happy to watch the out of sync video.

However, you could fix the audio sync with virtualdub if you care to

I'm using Linux on my computers. My laptop is too damn slow for video editing, and my Desktop doesn't have any speakers connected. Which is pretty stupid I guess, but I didn't assume A/V sync would be an issue :)

Perhaps I can ask my friend to bring his camera next time he visits. Should be much more pleasing than watching a video shot with an iPhone :) He also knows his way around video editing and Youtube.

You over emphasize the importance of the opinion of a man who, instead of using solid state logic, built a giant fire hazard out of wood and bare wires.

But this isn't half bad, I'd only change having to wait and press a button to get video out working. Perhaps a PIC could handle it instead? Wait 5 seconds and drive the button low/high?

I don't wish to derail this thread but to answer your question: Project Unity.

On topic: is the PSP-Go capable of CFW?
