    Hello,

How is the quality image of those switches?
I have used from the same brand the 2 way version but the quality was worse and it have heavy intereferences on audio/video part...

    Thanks!

Quality is superb. Interference is caused by inferior cables, inferior power supplies and possibly by crappy RGB mods. I'm currently out of these 5 way automatic ones but have 3 way automatic ones in stock. Will put them up for sale later. I can provide close up pictures from a Sony Trinitron, B&O MX4000, also have the gscart switch, so I could compare. I'm putting these up for people who want a solution in a different price range.

Having said that, active switches are always preferred over non active of course.

Sorry to ask you this but this switch come with an external scart cable to connect it to TV?
Because the BANDRIDGE 2 way switch I have tested it have an internal wired scart cable (maybe that was creating interference).

    Thanks!

No problem. No, it doesn't come with a SCART cable, but I can add a heavy duty SCART 1.5m cable for €17,-

Any sync issues? I have consoles that accept a CSYNC signal, while others only accept a composite video as sync signal. Will I have any issues using this switch?

very slight chance when possibly using a sync stripper powered via console.. The only real potential problem is input 5. There's some sort of VCR function there that may cause an unused system to power on. A fix for this is to remove the diode. I didn't have any issues, but I went ahead and clipped out D2 shown in the bottom post of this thread. I haven't had any sync drops, so I haven't seen the need to jumper D1. http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=49746

I do have one console that uses sync on composite, no issues with it.

This is a great switcher for the price, and I find the design preferable to the switchers that have all the cables coming out the top. Having the inputs on the back means this will tuck nicely into an entertainment center setup.

When you say, "sync stripper powered via console", do you mean sometime like the Framemeister's Euroscart to mini rgb with Csync powered usb adapter? or a console mod equipped with a sync stripper?

If you're using the USB port you should be fine, in that case the sync stripper is externally powered.

Some folks used to make adapters where the sync stripper chip was supplied voltage over the scart cable from the console itself (pin 8 on the scart head). So basically, you'd have the Framemeister adapter cable with the chip in it, but no extra wires to hook up external voltage. Looks cleaner, but you're depending on your console having enough juice to power it. My understanding of the issue, is by feeding power to the chip through the switcher, D1 provided just enough of a voltage drop for some systems that didn't provide enough umph, that the chip would drop out.
If you're not using a sync cleaner, or using an externally powered one you'll be fine. Just clip out D2.

Back in stock but have to increase the price a little bit due to supplier woes.

As per the June 2016 rules update, you need to upload images to the site itself rather than hotlink them. Sorry!

Please upload photos to the site within 24 hours. Thanks!
