Hello, I think this is the right location but if it is not I am sorry

I wanted to know if anyone could give me info on the old 1999 ps2 tech demos, especially this one

    https://youtu.be/Hd1zR-nxcPE?t=1m30s

I'm not sure if these ever made it out in the wild, but maybe someone here might have some of them, or knows if they where on some disk or come with the SDK or something?

anyway any knowledge would be great and appreciated

Ahh, the FFVIII Ballroom dance scene. So great.

The first one seems like it would be related to The Bouncer.

EDIT: I always thought that SH tech demo was cool. Would have been amazing to see even a little more of the game done that way, being its my favorite in the series.

That Gran Turismo tech demo is based on the GT2 engine, with higher poly cars. It's probably the tech they used to make GT1 and GT2 intros, with PS2 effects added.

The GT2000 demo disc that was later given on PlayStation Festival 2000 event already runs on the GT3 engine, but since it was such an early build, there's tons of missing features like physics, graphical effects, low resolution textures and missing 3d track models.
