Just keep in mind that you can't create a fundraiser on AG because of new rules. You can create one elsewhere and link to it though, iiuc.

That's basically what I was suggesting. If there's anyone else who's interested in contributing let me know and I'll post the link.

Best thing to do is to buy it yourself and see if people can pitch in elsewhere after you have it. That buys you a lot of faith.

I don't really need a System disc atm but if I bought it would there be anyone interested in buying it for let's say $ 299 after I've dumped the GD-R cause if not I'd be wasting my money.

I'm pretty sure you could sell it afterwards, but I think 300$ is a kind of steep price. IDK what they did go for recently though.

I'm not sure about the current average price range for System Disc 2's tbh but considering the prices of similar items available for sale atm I'd say it's a bargain. I don't think you can get them for under $250 these days anyway as most of them are likely in the hands of private collectors at this point.

They're not worth $250, not even close.

Rare? Yes. But there are still quite a lot of them around and quite have a few have been sold over the years - I would say around a $100-$150 is about the average. Also, you don't necessarily need one to rip a GDR - there are other less expensive ways.

The ALITD Beta is interesting but the seller clearly states it's non-interactive - so it's basically just lots of numbers and letters pasted on top of the game as you play it. Again, it's a steep price and.. again... I'd say $150 would be 'reasonable'. It's mostly a novelty, it's not an early version of the game or anything (based on the description)

And that's why I wouldn't buy one for myself but even if they aren't worth much they are usually quite overpriced.

When you have number and lettres in a beta, you sometimes have a hidden debug menu. For whats i can see you have a code of each scene. You have maybe a option to choice the scene you want...

I m curious about this Alone of the dark. But i found 300 dollars always expensive.

Alone in the dark is in twoo GD-R and here you have only 1 GD-R. I have a review or preview copy of alone in the dark in twoo GD-R.

This is probably a fake, because by some combination of buttons you can turn on cheats/debug menu in Dreamcast. It looks like manipulation in the PSX version: https://gamehacking.org/vb/forum/vi...4-alone-in-the-dark-the-new-nightmare-various

    Edward Carnby model options.

    Left - Release/Retail version [05/08/2001], Right - Release Candidate [03/29/2001].

    Edward Carnby beta voice. [12/14/2000]

Edward Carnby alpha voice. [05/12/1999] or [08/**/2000]

If you have a PC version, open root folder of the game, locate "movies" folder, then open "c101_015.bik" (need special media players support format BINK). You will hear beta voice [12/14/2000] and see beta model [03/29/2001].

@thedoctor45x it is indeed off topic and i would suggest you to create another topic in the correct area to talk about it.

The fact that there are remnants of the debug menu left on the retail version, doesn't make this copy on eBay suspicious. Actually with what you're saying it doesn't make sense for this copy to be a fake, seeing this copy only has a static debug function vs a full fledged cheat/debug menu.

IGP = Internet Game Pack :)
This one got revealed years ago when the original owner of the disc offered it for sale here at ASG together with Propeller Arena. We all know what happend to Propeller Arena, while IGP slipped into obscurity. Luckily the disc ended up in good hands and it's slated for a release.
