I got a clone.
damn guess I should have gotten a clone then haha
I bought one of these recently but I am having some trouble getting it to work. So I have connected the box to my DC and TV via the HDMI cable but I am not able to select the HDMI input on the TV and the blue light on the Akura does not come on. I have tried it on two different TVs with no luck. The HDMI cable is fine; I use it with my PS3.
I tried to use the Dreamcast VGA cable on 3 different TVs before and that did not work either.
Any idea what the issue might be here? I am lost. I tried the Dreamcast with the RGB scart cable I have and it works fine.
Are there some revisions of EU DCs that do not support VGA? Any help appreciated.
Have you try the akura in rgb mode ?
Alvaro, I think the fact that you aren't getting a blue light coming on shows that no power is going into the Akura from the Dreamcast. It might be that either the cable is faulty (the one connecting it to the Dreamcast) or that the Akura itself is faulty. My advice would be to request a new cable from Beharbros and it that doesn't help, maybe ask about getting a replacement unit. From experience, I had an issue where the Akura's image would go yellow, or green and then the image just stopped coming through altogether. They sent me a new cable and now it works perfectly.
Totally unrelated...but your avatar is great XD
Check the pins on the connector being plugged in to your Dreamcast (possibly either pin one or five). I had to pull some of the contact pins back on one of my Beharbros cables to make it work. It is possible you may be having a similar problem...
You need to insert it firmly to the console...
Just want to help, but you have a better overview than me ;-)
It's not exactly mine avatar, but I love it ^^ thanks
my acura stop working probably the cord what should i do
