    DREAMCAST HDMI BOX WITH SCANLINER

Our much anticipated secret project AKURA is finally ready for production.
It's an HDMI video box for your beloved Dreamcast console. As our other legendary products, it has a Scanliner function as well. Just like the Toro or Hanzo, you don't need to modify your console,it's a plug 'n play solution.
Here is a video proof of our pre-production sample.

We will start to take Pre-orders from mid January... Prices TBA...
    Thanks for your support.

Brilliant, one thing will it have H and Y calibration? so the black borders that are normally present with converts are gone? also this would help fix some games that have overscan issues when in VGA mode.

The crucial question is whether it correctly handles the 720x480 signal. Many modern tvs display it as 640x480. My tv doesn't allow for manual stretching and so I need to connect my Toro (great product!) via the Framemeister for correct aspect ratio. Would be great if this product handles the 480p output correctly !

Yeah but you are forcing VGA output on the Dreamcast don't you? And then convert that to HDMI.

Yes. It's not an upscaler also, outputs 1:1, 480p.

Is there any any price known? Dunno if it's worth it to wait for the built in HDMI solution.

Here is my question for you: Why should I buy it? Because of the scanlines? This is not enough for me. There are several other VGA/HDMI converters on the market.
So what I miss is a comparision video which shows me the picture quality compared to vga etc.

It will be reviewed soon... I can assure you that it has the same video quality of our other boxes, there is no sacrifice in quality.
You need 2 or 3 boxes and bunch of cables to get the same goal. So it saves space and money.
    1. DC VGA Box or cable + VGA cable
    2. Scanline Generator + VGA cable
    3. HDMI converter

    Wow awesome piece of hardware.
I bought a loads of stuff to get it running on my HDMI tv including the Toro.
Will this be better than my setup?
I have the Toro which sends the signal to the Framemeister XRGB-Mini.

You already have an XRGB, this is mostly for those who don't have one or for using on the secondary setup.
