Yeah I did the best with the tools available, can't seem to be able to mount a CUE with multiple BINs in any Windows tools to create a single image out of it.

ImgBurn should be able to manage it, I'll give it a go shortly.

Sorted, here's a single image version, should play nicer with disc burners and image mounters: https://www.mediafire.com/?i7gpgkca7w6hly6

Hmm, the RAWs were 44100hz, 16-bit, that shouldn't have changed. I'll compare with the original when I get a chance.

Did you convert those WAV files yourself? They are byteswapped AIFFs in a WAVE container. If I remove the WAVE header and byteswap the files, they play fine.

I imagine what this does is crop the audio files so their sizes are at the correct length to match CD sector boundaries. Their length has to be a multiple of 2352 since a CD is built of 2352 byte sectors. Not sure where that 75*2336 figure comes from? Mode 2 video data is 2336 iirc, but that's a different type of animal.

Anyway, I fixed the audio. Converted them to aiffs, then to proper wavs, and cropped their end so they fit the sector boundaries. If you had problems opening the cue before, they should work fine now. This might also help getting them to work on a Sega CD too, I remember something about it being finicky and desyncing if audio track lengths are not proper. I also added pregaps to each audio track, which is a Sega developers prerequisite, required so there is space between two tracks and so the audio track does not end up playing the last quarter of a second from the end of the last track (it can happen for a number of reasons).

Do note however that I cropped the end of the music files, so some data was lost. It should only amount to less than 1/75s of a second (or less than 2352 bytes) maximum, but if you have OCD you'll want to keep the other files around too.

They play fine where? When burned to disc?

I converted to WAV using Sox, which ImgBurn removes when creating a mixed mode image.

If they had the wrong endianness you would just hear screeching, not poor quality/slow playback.

Oh I get you, the .RED files had headers to begin with? Yeah that'll offset the data (and cause a click at the start) which may cause what we were hearing.

I'll get another single image out of this, then.

Perfect! I've made a single BIN from it again: https://www.mediafire.com/?i7gpgkca7w6hly6

Correct. The clicking is what made me suspect that it may have head headers already (I've seen far too many Sega CD and Saturn games that had those).

This is how those wavs looked.

For what it's worth I went ahead and pulled SST.zip, then used my good friends TurboRip and SCDConv to build a JPN region Mega CD.

Works a treat. Lovely job. I won't be leaving the house for days now.

Nice one! I passed on the info to some friends and they now have working European builds.

So I've tested all three games. The only thing I find a bit odd is that despite having 26 audio
tracks they didn't opt to use any of them for in-mission music. It's very MD Populous. Too bad, too.
One of the best aspects of the Mega CD (and PC Engine CDs) is the glorious game music.

Are the Doom files the ones in the Ring of Doom folder?

Also, tdijital, can you please check your PM?

@contrafan Just responded to you. I don't remember seeing anything that would have related to Contra (I would have remembered that)

This is so cool that you all got this built. Awesome work!

So I found this interview here with David R. Foley
    http://gdri.smspower.org/wiki/index.php/Interview:David_R._Foley

Almost everything David talks about in the interview is referencing disks that were in the lot that I got a chance to go through. It finally explains what that Ring of Doom (Victory Screen) disk is too. Unfortunately the person that let me go through the disks says that he got to the IRS auction late and a fair amount had already been sold (This was in the late 90s). Also unfortunately he has gone MIA and hasn't responded since he mentioned he may auction the disks :-\

hmmm.... Ring of Doom... based on Lord of the Rings with LOTR characters?

Some years ago i found some unused and interesting graphics that was made by Ray Tobey for an unreleased SEGA Genesis Lord of the Rings game (that was advertised in some EA posters and showed on CES 92.)
    Check it out:

Has anybody tried to make Super Strike Trilogy work with the 32X already?

A little bit late to the party, but thank you for your amazing contribution! Saturn goodies, woo!

I'm curious about the PSX Zero Wing, as there's no information anywhere else on this unreleased PS title.
Would it be possible for one of you to share with me a copy of the game, either via reply or PM? I don't post on outside forums or news sites, I'm just a very adamant PS1 enthusiast and historian. It'd be great to document it in my own archive. :)
