Here is the data I obtained from the Art Elements disk and 3.5 floppies.

Please do not get too excited :), there is a very limited amount of data here.

As I said in the other thread, if people are so inclined, please make donations to the site.
Here is a link to the appropriate thread for doing so:

I have uploaded the Art Elements disk image first (Mac Format - Photoshop 3.0.4, Illustrator 5.5):

Will the Photoshop files work on any new version of Photoshop and not just a Mac version?

Yeah i saw those mentions too, but it can't come from the Playstation version,
since PS1 only got MK3 and MKTrilogy, never UMK3.

Looking at the source code, it looks like it started life as the arcade version of the game and was then ported to PSX.

MKSEL.c is the MK3 select screen. However, MKSELNEW.c is the UMK3 select screen.
As you can see, this is the layout for the UMK3 select screen
    [IMG]

And the UMK3 stuff is sprinkled all over the code. The only glaring thing I see is in the declarations for characters in MKLadder.c, the UMK3 characters aren't defined as global variables, but I still see them defined in the endurance tables. The Bank's class file is empty in this version whilst the UMK3 backgrounds are all here (much like UMK3 arcade).

Theres also very little chance that this is NOT PSX code. I don't see a single reference to "sega", "saturn", "3do", or "3d0" in here but there are 601 references to "psx" and 737 references to "sony" in here. I've never seen PSX code before, but unless the devs are incredibly lazy and didn't rename any variables or modify comments, this possibly is an unreleased version of UMK3 for PSX and perhaps even code that is the precursor to Mortal Kombat Trilogy (although, the file structure used here is completely different than Trilogy). Perhaps someone with any experience with PSX or 3DO libraries could confirm this.

File structure seems to match the Saturn version, so this code is could be related to the Saturn version

I hope that this thread isn't too old to bump, but I wanted to make a note of something. The source release does not appear to have all of the source files inside of it. It looks like we are missing all of the .S files (assembly source) required to compile the game. Without those, the game source is pretty much useless.

A good friend of mine pointed that out today and he was looking forward to porting it to Xbox or PC at least. Would be nice to have the missing source files and continue.

Is the guy that released these files still around? Maybe he should release the entire image(s) of the floppies or something.
