Comparing exefs/romfs hashes let you find the ones Nintendo made different. For example Mset in 6.1.0 has the same exefs/romfs as retail.

They do exist, along with 2DS pandas, and new 3DS(XL) pandas.

Well if your unit is the same FW as Urisma's unit, then the problem lies in the firmware, they don't have a working DS(i) firmware to run DS(i)...
"CTR-N-HASP" is System Settings
"dlplay" is the 3DS port of DS-Mode download play
"Config" is a developer application see here
