i am fed up with all this

chuchu rocket dreamcast pal RARE!!!!11! $99.95 [Buy It Now]

    bullshit on ebay.

i hope the people will investigate first before they buy it, because a high BIN price on ebay does not necessarily mean the game is really rare or valuable.

then again the people which just pay the high prices without investigating the value in the first place deserve to be ripped off in some way.

still its a very annoying occurrence. :-(

Yep! A lot of people believe that because it's no longer current, or because it's the only copy THEY own, that it must be rare. The classic example being 'Playstation 1 - rare'. Just clutters up an eBay search imho.

It does get really annoying when people throw in the word "RARE" all over the place. According to most ebay sellers Chrono Trigger and almost every other SNES RPG are SUPER RARE!

Nothing's that rare if it's mass produced in the first place. But yeah Chu Chu Rocket at that price is just takin' the piss big time :dammit:

Dayumm Right Baby gurl, all the honey's be lookin' fo dat Chu Chu Rockets to be in yo possession when the love makin' begins, is the whip fo sho and not the ball and chain.

    Anyway, back on topic... :110:

I have to agree, that the labelling of "Rare" goes too far sometimes. But its a good selling tactic since some of the less knowledgeable will purchase it and have a good feeling about themselves. Hell, I remember way back when always trying to purchase a rare copy of Megaman X3. That was so expensive! And rarer then Chu Chu Rocket, but it still wasnt Rare.
I dunno, just depends on who you ask I guess...

If people are stupid enough to pay $99 then good luck to the seller

If only I was so lucky!

Back one gamestation in the uk stocked them, they were going for 25p, and thats when the dreamcast was doing ok, around the release of resident evil 3, i keep getting it free with dreamcast stuff i buy off ebay all the time, so i would hardly call it rare or worth $99.

I once tried to figure out what the most common keyword on Ebay was by doing a few searches, and "RARE" topped them all, even beating out such stalwarts as "LOOK", "LQQK", and "L@@K".

What? No they haven't! You can even look up search terms in their help system. -crapidontwant always has and always will work.

Yup, CCR was a freebie back in the day. I never did get my copy :( Didn't stop Dixons from trying to sell it for £4.99 at the same time, though!! Cheeky sods!
