Had a quick look at that, while I didn't compare every single file,
the files alltogether (excluding the executable) are exactly the same size,
hence I'd assume they are identical, apart from the *xbe.

Wouldn't really be worth uploading, I reckon.

Nice Not a change that you or someone still has the ThiefGame.exe ? This thread is full of goodies, wished I had something to share back atm.

 

I downloaded it three times and it keeps saying the file is corrupt, and doesn't allow me to extract anything. xD

 

Im downloading it again because I thought it was because my wifi dropped just at the last 99% or so. it said it was complete. 7zip was able to extract nearly everything (some movie dint). Maybe PermaNulled can explain/check ... or we have to repack that what we have?

 

Same here but it extracted, theres no default.xex ,but i saw it extract 5 0r 6 . Not sure where they are.........?

If this is the new Thief that came out recently, it's only about two years old. Not close to four yet, which is where we need to be at as per the rules. Maybe a mod can clean this up if it is indeed the game I think it is.

 

Yep. This have some instructions to make a build (disc & package) and various default.xex. I extracted them using 7zip, but there's still a corrupt file.

The achievement shows Thief and the first one is leave nothing behind in any chapter..

 

I think I saw some files being from 2013-11-18 (november). The game is officialy released on:February 2014. Maybe thats why the link was posted without any explanation. Lets hope the person posted the "wrong" mega link.

In case you got it, and extracted it with 7zip, run "Thief - UnrealFrontend.bat" I think you can use that to deploy it to a devkit or make a XDF image (to burn it). Damm, I probably now have to wait till we can get a working archive or this ThiefGame.exe that we miss.

 

@CodeAsm maybe the person who released it was trying to fly under the radar with this one, but none of the content in the build is old enough to be posted on this site. Has to be at least four years old or you're breaking site rules.

If the archive doesn't work, then don't expect to get a working one. This thing shouldn't even be on here to begin with.

Alright so good news and bad news. The good news is you can repair the archive with WinRAR and extract all of the files besides 005_A_Trans02-Mood.xxx. It doesn't appear to be a very critical asset so it shouldn't be the cause of the issues im about to explain. The bad news is that this build appears to be incomplete and not working. There are a few missing cooked files that are critical for the game to run. The only executable that will boot with any type of indication is ThiefGame-XeRelease.xex, the rest just freeze. Once booted you get this message
So the Coalesced_INT.bin is missing from this build. For those that are unfamiliar with the unreal engine this file contains most of the configuration files, localizations, binds, etc. So its a pretty big deal. As a last resort i copied the Coalesced_INT.bin from the retail game and tried booting. This time i was shown this screen.

It looks like a loading icon or the place of a missing asset. So now every executable works and gets to this screen. However it just hangs at this part and does nothing more. I've tried copying other retail files with no luck. Posting all this in hopes that someone else can get further than me and get this game working.
