    >Still no online games without internet connection
    No buy.

Also, let us consider the following:
    source: http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/update

    Sounds pretty cool.

Clearly, vinyl is killing the mp3 industry.

So instead of bitching about how current gen sucks, you'll just be bitching about how the PS4 sucks?

Surprising developments today but not unexpected. The Xbox One was going through a PR disaster that made Vista look like the greatest OS release ever. I feel sorry for all those software developers who had to work over the weekend to make the code work.

Whats interesting is they are abandoning the online sharing functionality also. So that whole family list thing is gone. You have to have a physical copy to share. You'd think with all their talk about future proofing the console that they would have left the online sharing functionality intact.

Um how exactly can one get anywhere playing an MMO offline? They're tedious enough as it is.

I'm starting to wonder if you're just saying things to piss me off at this point. Like YOU KNOW you annoy me so now you're just milking it.
whatever. Just for the record, I don't hate you. I mean YOU DO have the redeeming factor of being a fan of my favorite console ever
the Saturn. So how is it we can agree on that, Guardian Heroes and the Greatness of Shin Megami Tensei but NOTHING ELSE?

Oh I'm not saying stop You're a Yin to my Yang. But really.... I wonder.

In fairness Indie dev's not being allowed to self publish didn't keep the Xbox 360 free from the sea of shit that is "indie gaming". They just get passes for being shit because they don't have big budgets.

Having been in that ecosystem, I can tell you that it wasn't the self-publishing that screwed the system over. It was the lack of rules and enforcement of the limited number of rules that ruined it. Knockoff games aside, probably about half the games on the system should not have passed peer review due to rules violations. I am happy with my results there, but much happier to be moving over to 3DS and Wii U development now.

Although I expected them to do this, I didn't know when to expect it.
I'll admit I'm all for the Playstation since the first PS1 was released, but I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy.
In any case, as I usually do, I'll wait at least 6 months to a year since release before buying one of these new consoles... I'm used to Sony disabling / removing features along the way, and it wouldn't surprise me if either (or both) companies decide to suddenly release a mandatory firmware update that applies all these DRM bullshit they just supposedly removed.
