I got into the Beta in their July offering. It's not all that different, IE is laggy at times, but alright. I swear it froze my box when trying to quit though. -Doom
How to they expect people in beta programs to keep hush? It won't happen, even people that work for them *cough* DaE *cough* do it.
This update is on GDN since June. And it's normal, it's a beta update. Every single beta,alpha program have a NDA. If you leak things, they lost $.
I think its given that if there's a public beta info will leak, anyone can get in to the beta with no references, checks or anything else. Like the beta signup pages always say something like "are you a member of the press? yes / no" even if you are a member of the press your going to say no as yes mean you have no chance. Any Xbox 360 beta that has been released to the public has been polished to near perfection, its more of an early preview / chance for them to gather data to see how everything works in the real world.
No, I did try, (tried to download Firefox and Chrome for the lulz). I even tried a PDF document to see if it could open it but no dice.
Hmm, so im guessing they might add that feature once microsoft finishes up the firmware update (hopefully)
