I'm not sure what this thing does and how much it's worth but I have a few of them boxed in the storage. each box comes with a PC card and a HDD. Thanks
That's a Xbox Raptor card and matching hard drive. It was used to emulate the DVD drive in an original Xbox when connected to the dev kit (didn't work with the debug kit). Basically, card goes into PC. Hard drive connects to card. Xbox dev kit connects to card. Card does magic. Dev kit thinks HD is DVD and HD acts like DVD (including emulating read speeds). Most show up as bare cards/drives, so yours are more complete them most and should command a premium. Here is a thread from last year on the same item. http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?41763-Sealed-Xbox-Raptor-Card-for-XDK-DVD-Emu
Would like one of these so let me know how much as soon as you figure out the right price. I'll be looking for a dev kit to use it with I only got the debug here But hey this is a great excuse to get another box in here!
No prob. Just saw a need on both sides, saw they matched, and did as I did. That will be $10 for my "matchup" fees. LOL
I did not get the a hard drive though. How do I create the image on the hard drive? Does the raptor card format and build the files system? Last what size hard drive does it need? I have about 10 or more of the 8 gig drives and 20 or more of the seagate 10 gig drives from upgrades.
