Dakotas? Pfft, we cool kids sport Alamos: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?33332-Prototype-quot-Duke-quot-Alamo
My unit has been opened. But it was sealed when I got it. The DVD drive was stuck shut and I had no choice but to open it. That is how I know what motherboard is inside! I can take pics if you want. Also it has a thompson drive. Do all debugs have that thompson drive?
I have seen but only once a v1.1 or v1.2 debug kit,was a long time ago, wish I still had the pics and xbox-scene has been down for a while now, where I originally saw it.
Motherboard - 1.2 or 1.3 Conexant - MPCX 2 DVD Drive - Thompson (XDK sticker on it) Hard Drive - Seagate 10 gig PSU - Delta Manufacturer date is 2003-07-09 This unit was sealed when I got it. I opened it to repair the DVD Drive. Someone jammed it closed, I replaced only the bad parts to keep it original as possible. I am 100% certain on all the specs! Are these motherboards rare?
Can you start a new topic in the Xbox section when you do? We haven't been talking about this gentleman's debug kit.
Also the USB wire was actually just the same as the short controller snap off wire in green with a USB adaptor on the end. the full kit also come with various av leads for different regions and tv
Here is a video of a complete boxed set http://m.youtube.com/watch?autoplay...uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D80zwviGZueY%26autoplay%3D1
Like Ive been saying to people in private, do not take this as fact. What about DVT-2 marked debugs? Unless it explicitely says DVT2, 5, 6, whatever, do not assume that it is the correct naming until we have more evidence. That's how bad things start, and it takes far longer to correct than getting it right the first time. Assumptions are bad news especially as more people seem to adopt them as fact. We need more samples of real evidence, and even then, saying something that is not labelled as such still might be incorrect. And no, not all debugs are 1.0s anyway. The others don't come up as often, but they do exist. Now whether or not they were available to people outside of Microsoft is a different story.
I see! I know that mine cam from midway. They had a liquidation sale and that is how I got mine. Mine is even legal to be owned I was told because of the way it was purchased from a court ordered sale and microsoft could not ask for it back because it was court ordered to be sold!
Eh even that is a gray zone, since they never technically had the legal authority. If Microsoft cared, they could get most things back.
My green debug is from Midway too, with paperwork from Midway's bankruptcy. I need to take pics of my DVT-2 black XBL prototype console and post them.
Ask, and you shall receive good sir. http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?50077-Xbox-Black-Debug-Prototype-Kit http://www.assemblergames.com/forum...-Xbox-Black-Debug-Prototype-Kit-part-two-pics
