Xbox Clock Capacitor Removal

    It wasn't so much of do dev units have them, I know they do. It was for the particular unit that he had, as it had been opened in the past.

    I have three capacitor-less units that don't keep time even while plugged in.

    Odd I could have sworn it works as long it has power...

    Maybe it has severe corrosion underneath or the cap has become unsoldered partially?

    Nah I tore it out of my now HDD less Xbox so I know it didn't have it but maybe it was UnleashX keeping track in another way?

    Internet connection seems to with UnleashX on my dvt4 regardless of what the MS Dashboard or Xshell is set for time and mine has no clock cap as of now.

    Ah yes I always had it connected so that must have been how it was being set.
