    You can get a working kit for $1000. It's in great condition but no thanks.

    As cool as it would be to have an empty one I don't think its even close to being worth $1000.

    I think $1000 would be my absolute max on one of these and it would have to be complete and working for me to pay it and possibly include a controller..............and some fruity candy. I love fruity candy. =)

    That's my max as well, $1000 for the case that he got for free, is plain stupid and then again not many smart people on Craigslist :p The fruity candies with Xbox logos on them from E3?

    I'd love to get it but my budget is blown. Would be cool to make it a running Alpha 1 again. The firmware for the needed parts would be the hard part to get and/ or flash to the GPU and motherboard...

    lol they probably have crystalised by now or extremely gooey. Not sure if they were fruity candies but they sure did have Xbox on them.

    Yes these kits are rare and were marked as destroyed by MS but this guy is insane for asking this much for just the case.

    Think we should all pinch in a flag him.

    Also there's no telling how many of these kits have lost there games with people installing windows on it.

    Not the case, Windows was installed on the old hard disks because the Alpha Towers were recycled.

    And Pentium III machines were pretty darn good at the time, especially with the other specs. Certainly worth using as PCs at the time.
