I already knew they announced every console was going to be a devkit, but to have it available by a button combo is silly. I'm not going to explain every single thing I'm typing because I do it way too much.
It's not available by just a button combo though; you have to have your console authorized first. You won't be able to do anything without both.
Yes, but you cant actually activate or do anything.... Who cares if you can get to a menu you cant do anything with
The only thing listed on the X-S news page is the fact that you can bring up the menu via options. Nothing more.
O my, im so lucky to have a x360: source (My source, maybe posted elsewhere: http://9gag.com/gag/a9dqyom
Just a heads up... setting the sandbox ID to "freezone.reboot" will cause a constant reboot loop. I wouldn't recommend anyone do the steps listed above. :x EDIT: Although this might be fun to do at a demo kiosk.
testzone.yellowmode EDIT: You need to connect a debug thingy, on X-S they had this flash reader, apparently you have to connect this and this mode works. it will send the results over to flash
FYI, you should remove that picture of the 360 compatibility. People are giving that picture out to try and brick others consoles. http://n4g.com/news/1408077/trolls-...uctions-promising-360-backwards-compatibility I just wouldn't want someone get excited by seeing it without reading about it
Should I remove it? I was thinking about only linking to it, but then again.. we are all crown up I hope... well, I know that there is always a posibility that some [put person here] will try anyway. I dont own a xbox one yet (maybe in 2014 i will). So, ill remove the picture just in case if next to kl0wn someone else or a Mod asks me (just 1 more)(pm is also fine) still kinda interesting that free zone point instruction does something. what more is there?
It's my understanding that if the sandbox ID is bad or doesn't make sense the reboot loop will happen. So I don't know if freezone.whatever is actually a command, or just something it doesn't understand. For example, the sandbox ID of "LOL123" should also cause a reboot loop. But I could be mistaken. I don't really wanna take that kind of risk with my shiny new xbawks.
It's interesting to see that Microsoft added in a feature to command the console by changing the ID, I wonder what other commands there are.
Because if this actually leads to unsigned code to run on the Xbox One (and 9 out of 10 unsigned code running = piracy) it will be against forum's rules and this thread will be closed.
Guess I should remove all CFW anything on /talk then >__> you seem to forget that much more can be done with such access and just because some kid can't afford a game doesn't mean we should just shun it Why do I assume its a kid? well I did the same but these days I have a job and IDK about you but I like foundling the cases :3
Well, this escalated rather quickly... Anyway, I read a few weeks ago that a dev kit from Microsoft is still required to dev for the XBOne. So, I wonder which one is it...
