I don't mean to sound rude, but is it fair to call it undumped if you have a dump of the data? What's to say you don't release the rom after the sale of the cart (and maybe not you, but I see this claim on many proto sales all accross ebay), is there really such a thing as an undumped proto these days? P.S, in all seriousness, good luck with your sale, I'm just curious regarding this point.
As far as I know, undumped is generally understood to mean that the ROM hasn't been publicly released. If you are buying a prototype from someone on a gaming forum (especially one like Assembler), it is probably a safe bet that it has been backed up if not necessarily released to the public.
With everything you buy, you can only cross your fingers and hope that the person is being honest. Jackhead is one of the honest ones.
Where did i say undumped? I dont belive a owner of a proto leave his cart undumped. But i say that i will not release the rom, also after the sale. But sure the buyer have only my word.
Sorry Jackhead, your origonal post stated: so I assumed that this meant the same thing as "undumped". I don't mean to acuse you of anything, and I'm sure you of all people would be one of the truted ones, I just meant this topic as an in general statement. Sorry for hijacking your thread there
Unreleased and undumped are certainly not the same thing. I think the issue is what you expected, not everyone else here.
