Looking for Xecuter 3 or 3CE modchips for the original XBOX. Also would like to find another X3 control panel or XLCD. I'm located in the US. Thanks
What color X3CP are you looking for? These are rare! I have been searching for many many years for these! I just finally got the last one I needed a few days ago! It was the green X3CP. This makes the 9th X3CP. I know sick right! 3 blue, 3 clear, 2 black, 1 green. For my collection I only need 6 of them. I will consider selling 1 black, 1 clear, 1 blue. They are all complete xboxs with the X3 chip also. But the price has to be right for me to sell any of them. I am really attached! I mean really attached!
no it was a private sale. Believe it or not it was grabbed off ebay with a buy it now and it still had the clear protective cover on the LCD. That never happens! I was looking for a really long time for that. About 3 years total looking on and off. The black ones find themselves on websites from time to time but always just black. I really have no idea where to get another one. I would buy 2-3 more if I could! I have had 6 of the blue ones in the last few years and sold 3 off over the years. I have had about 8 of the crystal clear over the last few years and 5-6 of the black ones. Never in all of that had I got one single green one. I was told the blue one was the hardest to get. The green should have been easy in the US. The green halo console was sold here unlike the clear and blue. I have one of each color NEW but installed they all have the protective cover on the LCD. I am waiting for 2 last pieces to come and then I will have them all back together and I will start a thread on it. I want to do it when they are all complete. I need to solder the extra 64MB this weekend. All of them have the RAM upgrade and 3 hard drives.
your so lucky, got crystal boxes coming out my ear, but never seen one of the x3cp panels for sale, saw one on ebay.com last week that was on a broken xbox and the guy sold it locally off ebay for $60..!!
I know all about it! The guy told me I could buy it. But then he ended the auction and relisted it for someone else. I happen to see it happen and I even hit the buy it now. It processed everything but the last second when it was processing my payment it told me that it could not process the payment at this time. The other guy beat me to it like 15 seconds before me. Funny thing is that person that got it messaged me today and I spent some time helping him get it working. Then he told me where he got it and I could not believe it! I was floored! That was the craziest thing! But the person that got does not have a X3CP and seems to be a really cool person. Now I realize that someone here got it and that is cool with me. I have enough of them already. Plus he has a killer console now. It has a 1.1 motherboard also. That is the best version! Small world right? What are the chances of that happening? The guy had no idea what he was doing before he listed it on ebay. He had the 2 red wire from the power/eject PCB into the 5 volts input on the X3CE chip. That blew out the power/eject PCB. The other thing was the mod chip is installed on a solderless adapter. So that guy was a noob! The new owner and me got it all wired proper and working. So you can now know what happened to that xbox. It is no longer not working for parts. The guy had it listed as having red rings!
That's nothing. I found some of the official wireless adapter for the Xbox on fleaBay listed for the 360. How stupid. 360 doesn't need a wifi adapter when it comes built in or as a USB device. You don't need an adapter to plug into the ethernet port on the 360 unless you're THAT old school. If you are, why do you even have a 360 then?
thats a great story, i did message him and he said to me if i beat the offer of $60 i could have it , to be fair though it was too much for me plus shippings costs.. never mind
That guy was just money hungry! The story was even crazier than you would think. It turns out the guy that bought it and I helped fix it was not even the person that was supposed to get it. The guy that it was listed for did not hit the buy it now in time either! That xbox is the most fought over that I have seen in a long time!
They are not that rare at all. It was that the guy was willing to sell it for really cheap and told everyone that they could buy it. So now you have 3 people thinking that they were the person that it was meant for. Thats all. It looked like it went through a war. Plus the guy hook the chip up wrong and hooked the power/eject switch to the 5 volt input on the x3. Well the x3 is powered off the LPC and that shot 5 volts to the power/eject PCB and killed it. So a simple fix. The only other thing I did not like was the solderless adapter install. I like the pin header.
This website seems to have them: http://www.cerestic.com/product_info.php?products_id=8 Never ordered from them though...
I ordered one from that place and it was a nightmare. The LCD screen did not work and the bios buttons had 1 LED that did not work at all and 1 that flickered. They had me send it back and when they got it they were out of stock. So get this. They sent the broken one back to me and refunded me 25% of the sales price. I wasted money on shipping back to the UK and still got the broken crap back. I also ordered a x2.6CE mod chip from them and it was already installed on someone else's machine. It had a EvoX M8 bios on that. Maybe if it was a xecuter bios I could have wrote it off as testing from the factory. I would stay away from that website.
That's a worry... I did some whois search on the site, apparently they are located in the United Arab Emirates, but deal in Euros... Yeah doesn't sound trustworthy.
I also know another member on this site that ordered one at the same time as me and the bios button also flickered on his. But his LCD worked better than mine. But I feel like they are selling used items for the original xbox. The X3CP's antistatic bag was not a factory seal. I have had a few of these that were brand new a sealed. This bag was about 2 inches shorter, I know it was resealed. They use a machine that has a super hot thin wire that the press down on the bag and it can reseal it. I have used them in the past at work. That is what it looked like to me. Then they sent me back the same broken crap. Worst purchase in my life! After I posted this a friend of mine contacted me after reading this and he also had close to the same issue with these people! But they gave him 50% off his order. That is 3 people now that I know of that got crap from these people. I have not heard one good transaction from these people!
