US WTB: SNES Earthbound (WORKING)

    Recently got screwed by a used game shop that sold me a non-working copy. Want to obtain one I can actually sit down and play.

    You can always swap the chip to a donor board.

    I'm not much a fan of NA or how they collect/treat people/horde. It's never been positive.

    I did a full trace with a multimeter over each trace, polished and cleaned the connectors, replaced the battery, the only thing I can think of is a bad chip

    Who says you have to interact with the community? I just use it to buy and sell.

    Have you tried the cart in a different SNES? I had a game that would boot 1 in 5 times on one of mine, but worked every time on another. Worth a shot, right?

    Yeah it's been a flat line on all SNES units of all models

    I would give it a try,you could use NHL 97 as it's very cheap.

    If he doesn't want to ask there, that's his perogative. If he wants to ask here, that's fine. There are plenty of people (like yourself) who will jump on a WTB thread when they have the item - you never know what you'll find here unless you ask! Try not to be so disparaging of our community - I'm sure you don't know what 21,000 people have in their collections! ;)

    I got my Earthbound copy here on Assembler.
    I made a WTB thread and received a pm.
    I made the same thread on NA and didn't receive a pm.
    The guy who sold it to me was great.
