Just got my JP New 3DS in and looks like I'll need either Cubic Ninja or a Sky3DS to get it to upgrade to 9.2. As I feel that a JP copy of Cubic Ninja will be almost impossible to find here in the US I am looking for a Sky3DS flashcart. Preferred the blue button cart but PM me if you have anything of the sort. MUST BE a Sky3DS, no other flashcart will work. Thanks.
Looks like he has a Gateway cart. Need a Sky3DS for the long process of performing the 8.1J to 9.2J upgrade. Any other flashcart would brick the 3DS
I have a US copy of cubic ninja you can borrow if that would work for your 3ds. I used it to get CFW on my Japanese n3ds a while ago.
Does it bypass region protection on the JP 3DS? This whole update thing is really wonky, but hopefully a US copy would do...
I don't remember exactly what I had to do but it involved using a couple exploits to get it working correctly I don't think I found any guide to helping me which made it tough but my Japanese n3ds is running rxtools or whatever the old CFW everyone was using is called.
Hmm. Might give it a go. Rxtools is the older CFW that was pretty popular. I've got an O3DS XL using reinand CFW I think it is, coming from Rxtools. In my opinion Rxtools was just too hard to use when reinand was completely simple. Hopefully something works so I can get to 9.2
I have a sky3ds blue button in a black 3ds in the box. I think i even have the original packaging for the sky3ds too. I bought my son a new 3ds xl and the new sky3ds orange button so I dont need it. The 3ds has been downgraded to 9.2 and has 10.4 or so on cfw too. Would you be interested in taking the whole package instead?
I actually just need the blue button Sky3DS. I recently bought and just received this New 3DS from Japan today and have 2 other 3DS units in the house, one actually with CFW already. I would be extremely interested in the Sky3DS cart on it's own if you would be willing to sell it separately. It would be an absolutely massive help in getting this New 3DS ready to go and it would save me a ton of hassle.
