I am looking for a PAL power board from a 1st generation Sega Saturn (oval buttons). This particular version has the thru-holes for the connection to the motherboard on the far edge of the pcb.

The one I have appears to be fried and I'd much prefer to swap in a known working one than try to mess with it.

How did it fry? It might be simple to repair it. Normally if you do something like plugging it into the wrong mains, it'll only blow the fuse and a varistor, both which can be changed.

I acquired it as a parts console. So the history is unknown...

The external socket piece was missing a screw and was cracked. The fuse is also clearly blown.

I opened it up to see if there was any possibility of one of my spare Japanese ones being able to be installed but of course now I know that they are much differently set up.

Since there is the possibility of further damage to other components on the board, I would prefer to just swap it if possible. However no one seems to be selling these...

M1 220VAC PSU will be hard to come by. Personally haven't seen the one alone for sale yet

Hmm I was afraid of that.

Might have to take this over to a tech advice forum ^^

Here's one right now: Maybe install a PicoPSU, similar to what some people did with their Dreamcast? Iirc the Sat PSU doesn't have to provide any "weird" voltages, so...

edit: Dang, there's 9V. Might still work, depending on the power draw, with a stepdown converter from the 12 rail

You need 9v on some. But pretty sure the picopsu 12v line comes direct from the ac adapter, so if you use a 9v PSU, you should get 3.3v,5v and 9v
